Hey, all,

Looking for some input on a homebrew class I've done up in response to a player request.

(Another possibility would be to make this a bard or wizard subclass; I'm looking at a full class since the abilities presented would have to be extremely nerfed to fit a subclass.)

The source material is a Librarian "class" from Diego Pisa Artworks (https://www.drivethrurpg.com/browse/pub/13654/Diego-Pisa-Artworks); it looks from the old Kickstarter project about it that it was meant to include a fleshed-out 5e class, but what one of my players has doesn't include anything like that - it's more OSR-friendly (ish) than anything. (It seems there used to be a version of the Librarian on DriveThruRPG, but it's since vanished.)

Anyway, here's a link to my version of class on Google Drive (https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/15mt85wPnjWjTVLl3Wn3Q88IBTqx-RpGl?usp=share_link). (I just finished writing it up and I just don't have the wherewithal to copy/paste all the text over to this forum post. #sorrynotsorry)

My Design Goal: Have something that has somewhat of the power budget of a full caster, but made a half (Pact Magic) caster to give the unique features more depth. (From the Kickstarter project it looks like it was intended to have spellcasting, if not implemented the way I've done it.)

Summon Character: So, uh, I forgot to add stat blocks for the creatures that can be conjured by the "Summon Character" feature. Suffice to say I intend for it to function something like a Tasha's Summons spell, except weaker (since it doesn't require concentration).

Excerpt: The linked folder also has an excerpt from the original document showing the features of the librarian so you can see what I adapted it from.
