Perform weapon drill is an additional skill subcategory to perform from Complete Warrior.

And its a wierd skill. Your ranks in the skill aren't that important an element, but you could get it capable of being a really high number. So if you buy this skill with crossclass ranks, you now have a perform skill that you could theoretically be good at no matter how bad your charisma is while also not needing to invest any more skill ranks into perform.

So, playing with that, there's this line in the subskill description that is killing me.

Special: The following feats each grant a +2 bonus on relevant Perform (weapon drill) checks: Combat Expertise, Greater Weapon Focus, Quick Draw, Two-Weapon Fighting, Weapon Focus, and Whirlwind Attack.

There are two ways to interpret this.

1. The following feats each grant a +2 bonus on relevant Perform (weapon drill) checks. Multiple instances of the same feat do not stack. Having weapon focus only grants a single instance of +2 per fight. If you're two weapon fighting with a rapier and a dagger, and you have weapon focus in both, you only get a single +2 for your weapon foci.

2. The following feats each grant a +2 bonus on relevant Perform (weapon drill) checks: Each instance of having weapon focus counts as a separate +2. If you're a swordsage with quickdraw and all of the weapons of your discipline focus, you could juggle your weapons for a blanket +10 to every perform check.

Of course, option 2 is how we are reading this ability.

Which leads us to the logical question to ask a forum:

How many weapon foci can we get onto a character?

Right now, I presume that dwarf soulknife/fighter is the method to go with.

1. you get weapon focus mind blade
2. you get the mror stalwart feat:

"If you have any of the following feats for the battleaxe, warhammer, dwarven waraxe, or dwarven urgrosh, you can apply the feats' effects to all four weapons: Improved Critical, Weapon Focus, Weapon Specialization, Greater Weapon Focus, or Greater Weapon Specialization"

3. get dwarven urgrosh mind blade

"Any time you wish to reshape your mind blade using your shape mind blade class feature, you can add the dwarven urgosh to your shape repertoire. You are proficient with your dwarven urgosh mind blade--you are treated as if you possess the feat Exotic Weapon Proficiency (dwarven urgrosh mind blade). The weapon is sized appropriately for you and deals damage as a dwarven urgrosh."

Now your mindblade dwarven urgrosh weapon focus is a separate category from your dwarven urgrosh proficiency.

4. Take a Dwarf Fighter sub Level

"He gains a +1 bonus on attack rolls with the following weapons: battleaxe, dwarven waraxe, greataxe, handaxe, throwing axe, and the axe head of a dwarven urgrosh. (At the DM's option, this bonus might also apply to other axe-related weapons.) This bonus does not stack with the bonus from Weapon Focus, but it is treated as the equivalent of Weapon Focus for the purpose of qualifying for feats, prestige classes, and anything else that requires that feat."

Now you have weapon focus in all of those weapons twice.

5. Get help calculating the axe fractal that is dwarf fighter sub level+mror stalwart

Warblade in effect creates a new Weapon Focus feat with 1 hour's practice?:smallbiggrin::smallsmile:

Mirror Move is a 3.0 spell that gives you INT mod combat feats with Weapon Focus being explicitly on the list. So as usual, Wizards do it better. :smallwink:

It's also a bard spell as well.
