Hey, I'm going to be starting up my urban campaign soon (which is why I reviewed Into the Cess & Citadel). Can anyone point me to good 5E urban adventures / encounters / NPCs? (Yes, I know "good" is highly subjective - tell me what you think is good and it'll at least give me a starting point).

Things I Already Have:

Waterdeep: Dragon Heist
Into the Cess & Citadel

Bonus points if you can link me to a review. Thanks!!

Princes of the apocalyps has 2 urban side quests (New management, and Dealings in Yartar). Haven't played these myself, so I don't know if they are any good. It's is only a few pages of content though, so I don't know if I'd buy a book for these.

Sharn from the eberron setting, found in Eberron: Rising from the last.

Absolutely fantastic city. You can run adventures starting level 1 and go up to 20 with almost any kind of adventure. Heist, dungeon crawl, detective work, mcguffins, intrigue, escort quests, defense quests, collect 5 rat tails quests, any thing you want.

If you're okay with third party, Kobold Press has Streets of Zorbeck (https://koboldpress.com/kpstore/product/streets-of-zobeck-for-5th-edition/). There's an additional product (https://koboldpress.com/kpstore/product/zobeck-gazetteer-for-5th-edition-dnd/) if you want more details on the city.

Ravnica is basically a giant city plane. So the 5e sourcebook on that might be helpful.

The info on Baldur's Gate in Baldur's Gate: Descent into Avernus is pretty good. The parts of the adventure in Baldur's Gate are actually nice (if super-deadly for low level), too, but it's true there is a disconnect between those parts and the Hell parts.

If small towns count as "urban content", Ghosts of Saltmarsh and Rime of the Frostmaiden both have nice stuff for the eponymous Saltmarsh and Ten-Towns.

That's interesting! I'll have to dust off my copy and take a look. Thanks!

Oh man, I love me some Sharn! Any specific adventures you'd recommend there?

3rd party's absolutely OK! I haven't actually seen much from Wolfgang and friends on Zobeck, so this will be fun! Thanks!

Oh my lord, how did I forget Ravnica? Thanks for the reminder! I actually have Ravnica and draw a lot of inspiration from it. Thanks!

I had completely forgotten about the murder capital of the Sword Coast! Thanks for the reminder; I'll check out the BG Gazetteer and see if there's anything worth lifting from the DM's Guild. And while Saltmarsh and Ten-Towns aren't quite urban enough, "The Styes" from Ghosts of Saltmarsh definitely fits! Thanks!

This is all great feedback! Anybody else have anything to throw on the ol' idea pile?

It's a setting book (though it includes a lot of short adventures), it's not Forgotten Realms, and it's not cheap, but Ptolus is a pretty detailed urban setting and there's a 5E version now.
