So, we had our next session in which our goblins appeared.

The part was sent to find a lost scouting party. They traveled along the beach, finding a cave. As they neared the entrence the now lvl 3 Goblins fired blow darts from within- only one hit but it did 11 damage! How? They now have a lvl of rogue. They did 1d2 (2) + sneak attack1d6 (6) + favored enemy 2 + point blank shot 1. Then they fled into the caves. They lead the adventurers into the cavern where the scouts had died and collapsed the tunnel behind the party, trapping them with a 5 headed hydra. They beat the hydra only to find the goblins had poisonned all their pack animals.

Goblins are now:
Ranger 1 Fighter 1 Rogue 1
19hp
str 13
dex 16
con 13
int 12
wis 10
char 9

they still have great blow guns, alchemist items, clws potions, morningstars, mw chain shirt, daggers and now have bucklers as well.

Questions? Comments? Concerns? this was an adventure for a bunch of very highly statted lvl 3s.

So... a swarm of ranged tactically sound monstrous crabs, essentially?

Each goblin stands a mighty three feet in height, unbowed by defeat, skin painted a deep, dank grey with primitive pain, eye sockets painted hellish crimson, black along the bony ridges to help conceal them. They all wear crude goggles, on their brows or over their eyes, clothes so badly stained by muck and mire that noone knows how the cloth originally looked. Each has a belt, festooned with pouches, two bandoleers cross their chests over the custom made chain shirt, each link blackenned and very quiet. A Morningstar hangs from each of their belts, a crude buckler strapped to one arm. Out in the field they have twigs and leaves poking out here and there to break out their outline, as well as slightly more appropriate face paint. The leader has a nasty, recent scar in his throat and one ear is badly torn from arrows.

Here (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/monsters/goblin.htm) is the link to the stats for DnD goblins, if that's what you mean.

If you specifically wanted Nevermore's goblins, then take those stats and the levels he mentioned above (at the end of his first post). You'll have to do a bit of math.

thanks.
never thought of goblins as intimidating.
but these can surely terrorize a party of starters.
