View Full Version : The "Where IS that?!" thread

So I've noticed a lot of things that tend to be referenced with the assumption that people know what's being talked about. This thread is for those who don't to ask about it.

I'll start:
I'm always hearing about the "Batman wizard" build - where can I actually see an explanation of this build?
People keep talking about "dread necromancers", and I haven't been able to find the slightest clue as to where to find the class - what book/thread/magazine is it in?

"Batman Wizard" refers to this famous guide (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=19085) by The Logic Ninja.

The Dread Necromancer is a base class in... I forget, actually. Libris Mortis?

EDIT: Minor but interesting note: "Logic Ninja Batman" shows up under Google's autocomplete entries:

Dread Necromancer is a base class in Heroes of Horror.

Four words:
Google is your friend (http://www.****inggoogleit.com/)

I don't mean this as a personal attack or anything, its just that a lot of these kinds of questions could easily been solved by googling it. And if you know its a thread here, just include "site:www.giantitp.com" in your search to limit it. If you need help with google just use this basic guide (http://www.googleguide.com/).

That would be because you have apparently searched for that in the past. That's not google's autocomplete, that's your computer's autocomplete (possibly specific to google too, but definitely part of local storage).

Where has the "things I'm not allowed to do while gaming" thread? I search it, and I come up with a blank screen. I had been reading from page 1 and was on 43, so a link to the thread (if it hasn't expired or something) would be great

I'm not certain, but I believe that thread was locked after simply growing too long. That may have something to do with your difficulty.

Actually that is google, the firefox google toolbar separates auto-complete from the built-in google one (and I know I've never searched for it) I just typed it in and got it after "logic n".

I get it after 'logic ni'. But yes, it's definately not local.

Why was the Logic Ninja banned?

Why was the Logic Ninja banned?

It involved the phrase 'English, m*****f*****, do you speak it?' said to another poster. Although that may have been a straw/camel's back situation.

But... there where like 9 or 12 posts by him after that...

Just delay?

How much does pure Mithral and Adamantie cost per pound? When crafting items using one's own forge or abusing the hell out of the Fabricate spell, this is the subject of much debate!

I'm always hearing about the "Batman wizard" build - where can I actually see an explanation of this build? It's not actually a build. It's just what people on this site call wizards. Particularly wizards that they think are well played.
