Looking to take Advantage of a Brawlers Close weapon Mastery Festure using Armor Spikes and a heavy Spiked Shield. I am planning to Play him as a Half orc

A: What Weapon Should be in my main hand
B: playing till level 10. Would living Avalanche be worth it.

A) do you need one? To fit the theme how about a spiked gauntlet?

B) not really. The only difference by that level is -2/adamantine DR vs +2 dodge AC and CMD. You could take it for the flavor but mechanically there's nothing there.

A) Battle Gauntlet - with both Armor Spikes and Armor Razors (enhanced separately, so you can get passive bonuses from both - even if you can only attack with one at a time. And, if the enemy isn't vulnerable to magic on the spikes - then, at least, maybe, enhancements on the razors would work?)
