Would anyone play in a campaign being pirates?

Hmm, I have a Neanderthal Barbarian/Fighter who wants to become a pirate. Dread Pirate looks nice but why would Grongar want Weapon Finesse and how does he get the neccessary skill points with Int 6 ? Why are there no good PrCs for brutish pirates ? :smallsigh:

Pirate campaign good.

Pirate PrCs bad. I haven't yet seen one I really like. Seems like various Rogue-based builds can outdo any PrC in pirate-ness. Or like it would just be more fun to pick whatever class and roleplay it as a pirate (ToB for a melee pirate, etc.).

I'm fascinated by the idea of a Dragon Shaman pirate.

I would. I'd be a duelist who specializes in sabre fencing. I'd wear a mask and all black. Of course, my last name would be Roberts.:smallwink: (Kudos to everyone who gets the reference to my favorite movie EVER.)

Aventi ranger.
Also, why is it that no one ever uses the aquatic races?
They're cool!

Aww come on, at least give us a good quote to go with the reference man. http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0348.html

Nobody uses aquatic races because obviously, they're the villains in any random monster encounter. It's as dumb as playing a Drow somewhere that drow typically attack other PCs.:smallamused:

I'd like to play a pirate campaign though.

I thought this was going to be a thread about The Princess Bride.
