View Full Version : [Pathfinder] CHA instead of DEX *and* CHA instead of WIS to AC?

There are ways to get CHA instead of DEX to your AC. As an oracle, one can have the Nature's Whispers revelation from the Nature mystery, or (even better) the Prophetic Armor revelation from the Lunar mystery.

Also, it is possible to become a Monk with the Scaled Fist archetype, allowing them to use CHA instead of WIS for their monk abilities, which would mean getting CHA instead of WIS added to AC.

Can a character have both? Can a character "double dip" and get CHA to AC twice? I have a vague notion that there is a rule against this, but I can't find it. Or am I just misremembering something like not being able to add CHA to saving throws twice?

And then, if a Nymph (who has a deflection bonus to AC equal to her CHA mod) was a Monk/Oracle, could she get CHA to AC three times?

My understanding of the JJ ruling is that you can't stack multiple untyped ability score bonuses, but you would be able to stack it if the features converts it to a different type. So Cha instead of Dex to AC would stack with "add your cha modifier to your AC as a deflection bonus" or something similar. So a Scaled Fist ghost could have Cha to AC and then Cha as Deflection to AC, which would stack.

Thanks for that.
