Tips for Building Pugilist 5e

Am interested in building Benjamin Huffman’s pugilist. People who have played with it, how well does it scale throughout a campaign? Which subclasses are fun to play with/are strong and which subclass should one avoid? Any other tips a new pugilist should know? Thanks!

I quite enjoyed the investigative one (bloodhound I think). It scaled very decently, and played in a way that gave me the feel of playing RDJ's Sherlock. With that said, at higher levels, your damage does tend to lag a bit, and I feel like Moxie should increase at the same rate as the Monk. You kinda need to use it regularly to feel like you're keeping up with everyone else, and it's increase is pretty slow. Yeah, you can regain some when damaged, but the damage level is a little high for it to be reliable.
