Wandering Axe

This +1 throwing axe has an unusual variant of the Returning weapon property. At the end of a turn on which it was thrown, pick a random creature within 30 feet of it. The axe flings itself towards that creature. If the target creature is an enemy of the one who threw it, this is an attack, with the same attack bonus the axe was originally thrown with. If the target creature not an enemy of the thrower, it instead lands harmlessly in the nearest square occupied by the target creature. If the target creature is the thrower, the Wandering Axe returns to their hand in the manner of a normal returning weapon.
At the end of each of the thrower's turns, repeat this process, until the axe either returns to the thrower, is picked up by another creature, or has no creatures within 30 feet.

Moderate evocation; CL 10th; Craft Magic Arms and Armor; Price 18,000 gp.

Lighting Chain

Three times per day, this +3 Throwing Returning Shocking spiked chain can be commanded to strike up to three targets with a single throw. Each target must be within 10 feet of the previous one. The same attack roll is used for all targets, and if the chain misses any target, it returns to the wielder immediately, rather than continuing to further targets.

Strong evocation; CL 18th; Craft Magic Arms and Armor; Price 80,000 gp

Trident of Fetching

This +2 Returning trident has the additional property that when it returns after striking an opponent, it attempts to drag the opponent with it. This functions similarly to a bull rush attempt, except that instead of pushing the defender back, it pulls the defender towards the thrower of the trident. For the purposes of this bull rush, the trident is treated as having a strength score of 24 and the same size category as its wielder.

Moderate evocation; CL 10th; Craft Magic Arms and Armor; Price 20,000 gp
