So I'm trying to work out a character build themed around casting one specific element type. In particular, I'm after metamagics that buff particular element types, like Fire, Cold and Electricity.

Fire seems pretty easy: Blistering Spell adds +2 damage per spell level, Fiery Spell adds +1 damage per damage dice, and Searing Spell means you can do half damage even against enemies normally immune to Fire damage. It's a pretty solid base to work from for a Fire-mage themed build

Cold is a bit more difficult: Lord of the Uttercold turns spells into half cold, half negative energy damage, Flash Frost adds +2 damage per spell level, and Piercing Cold does half damage even against enemies normally immune to cold. Have I missed any cold-themed metamagics, I can't find an equivalent to Fiery Spell for cold spells.

Thunder is giving me more difficulty still. Born of Three Thunders turns electric spells into electric/sonic spells, but I can't find anything like Blistering Spell, Fiery Spell or Searing Spell for Thunder.

Has anyone got any specific metamagic suggestions to help out with thess?

The spell "Waves of Cold" strips immunity to cold from creatures with the cold subtype.

There are a number of spells which add +1/die damage to various elemental damage sources.

You might find the minmal mailman (https://forums.giantitp.com/showthread.php?628874-A-Minimal-Mailman) build interesting as it specializes in fire damage.

I created mages from the 4 elements as bosses from Elemental Sects in my world

Have a look at this

Some good ideas in here, thanks.

Reserve Feats not only give you a thematic attack you can spam at-will, they also give you +1CL with their respective Element.

So, for example, Fiery Burst gives you +1 CL with Fire Spells.

I actually tried working out a build based on upping caster level for one particular element (this thread was helpful (https://forums.giantitp.com/showthread.php?654710-Raising-Caster-Level)) but it's far, far more effective for a blasting spellcaster to just take Empower Spell and Arcane Thesis, Practical Metamagic or Easy Metamagic instead.
