Rules: Submit your name here, after the 15th I'll assign everyone who joined a webcomic to draw a guest comic for, with the exception of the worst webcomic on the boards (a.k.a. mine). Please do the geust comic in you own style, so if Jason's computer is in one piece in time, he'd do just stick figures, for instance. However, since next to all of us do oots style, the only real difference will be detail.. (I.E. Banjo's uber detailed style vs. Almighty Salmon's almost indistinguishable from Oots Style). The geust comic will be non-canon, and will be posted on Christmas.

Very much so! I've still got my Opening-style Banjo somewhere. That would be a nice one to have, dress up a pawn as Santa!

So its best if the webcomic has been made because we will have no idea who your characters are and what they are like so we can make a proper stereotype. :smalltongue:

PMs sent. Now... Guidelines:

1. If possible, familliarize yourself with the comic's running jokes, if it has some. I.E. the Ring V Line "You (verb)-ed my (Same verb)ies!" (More funny in context)
2. Try not to post a strip that would be out-of-date.
3. PM me if you have any questions. DO NOT tell the person you have that you have them, it ruins the surprise.
4. If the comic is off-sight, PM the url for the comic to the person on Christmas Eve so they can post it on their site on Christmas. For On-sight comics, just make a post in the apropriate Thread

@Elanrocks: Because you didn't get a comic up in time, I couldn't expect anyone to do a guest comic. Sorry, Maybe Next Year.

Oh, and this will be an anual thing, so be sure to come back next year. Also, I think I'll give responsibility for assigning comics to someone else next year. If there are any volunteers, that is.

Apologies for the double post...

I've just realised I've commited a faux-paus with my Secret Santa comic. Reading Squarks opening post it said to interpret the comic in your own style, but I've kind of recreated the artists style in my submission, as my own would have taken me weeks!

Hopefully they'll still like it though, it's looking okay at the minute...

I'll PM it to Squark when it's done, and I'll post it in their comic thread probably on the 22nd, as its the last time I'll be online before Christmas. I'm sorry Squark but I want to post it myself then, because I want to see what reaction it gets!

Ichneumon
2007-12-20, 12:02 PM

Also, because the Opening site doesn't have a forum anymore, I would like to ask Squark if the person could also post their Opening Christmas comic here as I think he/she will want to read some reactions. It seems a bit unfair if they don't get any other reactions at all.

I will of course also post the comic on my site.

Mr_Saturn
2007-12-20, 04:12 PM
It would be interesting to see opening pawns are oots-style characters too. Technically, what is a shade? :smallconfused:

Ichneumon
2007-12-20, 04:20 PM
Hard to say, I originally pictured them (read when I drew the very first page) as these classical greec shade (e.g. dark cloaks and all), but that soon changed to more of a zombie like being. Grey skin, thin.

For it to be an organized event, it would take too much time. A quarter-yearly event is fine though.

If it happened so often, it would lose it's charm you know?
