Wanted: Slingshot Tree

I vaguely remember a tree or similiar plant creature somewhere that attacked by slinging its nuts/spiky fruits at enemies. I think it was 1st party, but I could also be in the Dragon Magazine, here on the forum in the homebrew section, or somewhere else 3rd party. Does anybody have any idea what creature that is?

Closest thing that comes to mind is the battlebriar from MM3
It has the 'Thorn volley' ability. It's not nuts/fruits, but otherwise matches your description.

Demonthorn Mandrake (MM5) can shoot spore pods.
Elder Viper Tree (EDwP) can throw its branches (which then animate and continue to attack).
Crystal Sunflower (Mind's Eye web articles) shoots seeds.
Death's Head Tree (Dr#292) shoots seed pods.

There's also the Scouring Slinger (MM5) which looks like a tree but is a construct (that throws construct scorpions).

Orcwort has self-propelled fruits. And theoretically it could throw them.
