Okay so Im making a one-shot game for some of my friends that are staying on campus during winter break and my BBEG is going to be a warlock 8. They have Fiendish Resistance, which grants them Fast Healing 1. Ive never used fast healing so i looked it up on SRD and got this:

Fast Healing

A creature with fast healing can remove 1 lethal hit and 1 nonlethal hit per round per 5 points of fast healing (minimum 1 hit of each type). For example, a vampire spawn has fast healing 2; it can therefore eliminate 1 hit and 1 nonlethal hit per round.

A creature with fast healing may add its fast healing value to Fortitude saves made to become stable when dying. A dying vampire spawn, for example, gets a +2 bonus on its Fortitude saves to become stable.

Is this supposed to mean that the character would ignore the damage from 1 successful attack per round or 1 point of damage recieved per round?

Neither... I don't know where you got that from, but this reference (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/specialAbilities.htm#fastHealing) is much clearer/more accurate. A creature with fast healing 1 regenerates 1 point of damage at the beginning of each of its turns.

Fast Healing means that he recovers 1 point of HP per round as long as he's alive (within the rounds per day limit of the ability).

That is, If your warlock has 100 HP and is hit for 110, he's dead and stays that way (unless something else intervenes, of course).

If your warlock is has 100 HP and is hit for 109, he's at -9 - and when his turn comes around, he's at -8. The next time his turn comes around, it's -7, and so on, until he runs out of rounds on his fast healing.

thats really wierd bc i got my refrence from that exact site, just under a different section. I found fast healing here first: http://www.d20srd.org/srd/variant/adventuring/injury.htm
