For some reason, I want to list a bunch of TTRPGs, but I want them to follow the naming theme set by our beloved original. I'm sure there are some I don't know, but I want to come up with even more names, pre-existing or not. Anybody care to waste a little bit of time with me? Mods: If this needs to be moved to somewhere more accurate, feel free to do so.

So, we have Dungeons and Dragons (obviously).

Immediately following that was d6 system, Tunnels and Trolls.

Monsters and Magic is also a thing (though mazes might have stayed a bit more true to the naming theme).

Does Call of Cthulhu count? I mean, the theming is off, but at least we've got alliteration.

Bears and Bulwarks
The classic one is Bunnies & Burrows.

Then there's Might & Magic, a computer game that's clearly D&D-inspired. And don't forget Mazes and Monsters, not to mention Dark Dungeons! :smalltongue:

In the show My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, the characters sometimes played a game called Ogres and Oubliettes.

That eventually led to a fun episode where the game was magicked into reality but all its monsters still looked like cardstock miniatures.

I've made a little one page 1d6 RPG called mooks with maces and a kid friendly version called gnome and garden.

For C, there's the moderately well-known Castles & Crusades, which is a stripped down version of the third edition OGL aimed at retro-gamers.

Other existing games I could find online with fitting names (I was thinking of a similar list once before)

Amazing Adventures
Bandits & Basilisks
Balrogs & Baggins
Dangers & Dweomers
Dragons at Dawn
Engines & Empires
Exemplars & Eidolons
Hulks & Horrors
Labyrinth Lord (totally counts)
Legends & Labyrinths
Mages & Monsters
Mazes & Minotaurs
Medieval Mysteries
Pits & Perils
Ruins & Ronin
Ruins & Riches
Skyscrapers & Sorcery
Spellcraft & Swordplay
Warriors & Wizards
Woodland Warriors

To throw out some suggestions for what's missing:
Fighters & Fortresses
Giants & Gaols
Jinn & Jesters
Knights & Kobolds
N? Naga?
Ogres & Officers
The Quest of Quetzalcoatl
Uncanny Underground
Vampires & Vigilantes
Xiphos & Xenos
Yokai & ?
Zombies & Zauberei (it's a German game).

I went to check TvTropes for tabletop games with an Alliterative Title (https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/AlliterativeTitle). Here are a few that sound D&Dish enough:

Demon: The Descent

Mutants & Masterminds

Villains & Vigilantes

If I can remember my account, I might use this thread to update the wiki.

Mazes and Minotaurs was the first that came to mind, particularly as it began as a bit of a tongue-in-cheek tribute.

Am I to assume that Guns N' Roses is too far removed from the topic?

There is the generic term "sword and sorcery," but also Sword & Sorcery (board game) and Swords and Sorcery (video game).

Am I to assume that Guns N' Roses is too far removed from the topic? Yes, and it also fails the alliteration test.

Inquisitors and Incubbi?

Not a real game (to my knowledge), but something that can fill the "I" slot.
