No problem about the delay. A little confused as to everything that is happening here but probably puts me in the same shoes as Gimgroth so that's only fair. Mechanically Gimgroth would have gotten a parting blow but I doubt this horror even had statistics or was wearing mega AP plot armor so no reason to bother with that.

Gimgroth often served as hired help for the good Professor Petrus Lorrimor through many dangerous expeditions. Gimgroth became a trusted shield dwarf to the Professor saving his life many times through the years. The dwarf eventually became hired more as a personal bodyguard rather than just a sellsword guard of caravan. Gimgroth grew quite fond of the old man's stories and legends, never quite sure how much of the tales were truth or just poppycock.
Gimgroth's right ear has severely damaged cartilidge (couliflower ear) from brawling in his youth. He wears a mail shirt and dented and spot rusting mail coif over leather armor. Gimgroth had a brown beard that hung in twin braids running down either side of his chest. Gimgroth's beard was acid burned by a recent adventure within a chaos tainted mine. He is thankful to Wighard for restoring as much dignity as possible although it is much shortened and not as thick. He is balding but rarely seen without his leather cap and mail coif on his head. He is quite sore about losing his hair at such a young age and absolute distraught about his beard.

In general the golems of the Dawi are ancient constructs powered by long lost runic magic. In specific the Grudgebound Golems were tasked with defended the mountain home from invaders. They were powerful tools in the hands of the ancient dwarves and appear in many dwarven legends and war chants. The most upsetting detail to Gimgroth is that the Grudgebound Golems were supposed to have been unable to kill Dawi so this particular must be malfunctioning in a major way to have killed the warning dwarf. One possible reason for the malfunction would be if some people had tried to repurpose the golem for something other than its original purpose. Which in the current setting is the only thing that makes sense they are not near any mountains but rather travelling through the plains of Bretonnia. Could it also be that something from the asteroid impact triggered this malfunction?

Also Bramble can we explore like a single lead for more than one post. I feel like there's no follow through on any premise that comes up. Here's what's happened so far.
Mysterious Blue Guy gives Gimgroth box -> Box is taken by plot-armored chaos thing.
Plot Armored chaos thing runs to Teenage Chaos Witches or something and they say something cryptic and disappear. - At this point no real threads to follow.
Asteroid hits -> Let's go check it out. Oh on the way to the asteroid in the middle of nowhere there's a Grudgeborn golem.
I mean these are like 4 cool premises but I don't feel like there's any development into any of them. And there's pause on my part to develop something when the next post could be another totally different premise. Can we just stay and develop something for a few beats?
