Is there anything in the rules that talks about two bardic performances affecting a target at the same time? Listening to two songs at once is awful irl; it feels like one should at least cancel out the other in-game or something.

Seeker of the Song has the Combine Song class feature. It works

Ordinarily, two uses of the same bardic music ability wouldn't stack, because they'd be the same bonus type. But there are a few ways around this. You can use two different songs, like Inspire Courage and Inspire Greatness. You can use Inspire Courage, but modified by Dragonfire Song, for a morale bonus to attack and damage, plus a d6 each of several different elemental damage types. In such a case, one would presume that the various bards are deliberately harmonizing.

Or, if you actually want a bardsong that cancels out other sorts of music, that's more or less Countersong, which can negate other sound-based effects. It's never really worked well in any edition of the game, but it's there.

The ability Bardic Music is completely separate from the performance itself. You can have two bards doing the exact same performance at the same time using two different types of bardic music effects. So no, it doesn't have to be disharmony. The average person also has the ability of selective hearing (I know, some people don't) so they pay attention to what they find is more important in the case of multiple sources of music in combat.

If you're talking about fascinate and suggestion possibly conflicting, the rules should state how stacking multiple mental controlling effects (https://www.d20srd.org/srd/magicOverview/castingSpells.htm#stackingEffects)work.

First of all, Bardic "music" can be a wide range of performance types, many of which your brain could process together.

While these abilities fall under the category of bardic music and the descriptions discuss singing or playing instruments, they can all be activated by reciting poetry, chanting, singing lyrical songs, singing melodies, whistling, playing an instrument, or playing an instrument in combination with some spoken performance.

In addition, MOST of the music we listen to is a combination of several instruments and/or voices.

Of course, if you end up with two musicians doing their own thing while completely disregarding the other one, you could end up with dissonant sounds, but that's a corner case not covered by the rules. (unless you count Countersong)

I'd like to simply assume that any Bard worth their music would be able to alter the substance of their performance enough to reach a harmonious blend in order to create a greater (or additive) effect. No need to stir the pot.
