Remove Paralysis has this text:

You can free one or more creatures from the effects of any temporary paralysis or related magic, including a ghoul's touch or a slow spell.

So what can it remove?

It can remove the paralysis affects of certain creatures like ghouls, ghasts, silver dragons, or liches.

I've counted about 18 different spells that explicitly grant a temporary paralysis (such as Hold Person, various Ghoul-named spells, and the "Words of" spells) or are explicitly called out.

Clutch of Orcus
Clutching Grip
Evil Glare
Ghoul Gesture
Ghoul Glyph
Ghoul Touch
Heaven's Trumpet
Hold person
Holy Word
Word of Balance
Word of Kami
Word of Chaos
Dictum
Magic of Odo
Poison Needles
Touch of Vecna
Transfixed
Venom Bolt

There might be some items that give a temporary magical effect, but I haven't checked.

This leaves the "related magic, including [...] a slow spell". I'm guessing any Slow-like effect from another spell will be removed. But I'm not exactly sure how far this can go.

Remove Paralysis cannot heal paralysis from Abilities falling to 0, nor can it explicitly remove conditions like Stunned, Dazed, or Entangled. Bestow Curse can inflict a 50% chance of losing an action, but Bestow Curse is permanent, not temporary.

Presumably then it can also remove slow effects caused by creatures' special abilities, such as the Ambush Drake in MM3.

If I'm not mistaken, a lich's paralysis is permanent, not temporary. Yet it would still be affected by remove paralysis, showing the spell is rather broad.

Also, "any temporary paralysis or related magic" is a bit vague whether it works on non-magical paralysis or not.

There are a few (ex) effect that can cause paralysis too, after all, such as some poisons or some martial arts like Freezing the Lifeblood.
