If you've ever read the Cradle series by Will Wight, you'll be aware of the Path of Blackflame; absorbing a mix of fire and destruction aura to gain the abilities of a dragon:
A technique to gain strength and speed that's good for quick (fast twitch) movement but bad for marathons or other endurance tasks.
Dragonbreath.
And an AOE ability to obliterate a battlefield, but first requires molding existing fire/destruction aura.
The MC also develops an ability to up his ability to hit a single target by coating his hand in that AOE ability.
I've looked at Monk, both Sun Soul and Ascendant Dragon; and Beast Form Barbarian. As well as multiclassing barbarian with either of those.
What I haven't found though, is a useable homebrew version of this path. I've found a few dead links to google docs, but that's it so far. Does anyone have any suggestions?
