Planeshift from an Item

Looking for an item that lets you planeshift. I am familiar with the Amulet of the Planes that lets you do it at will for a whopping 120,000 gp, but am looking for something cheaper. Scrolls and a Minor schema won't really work for this. 1/day is fine, but 2/day or 3/day would be great too.

Are you trying to get to a specific plane or do you just generally want the ability to plane shift?

Staff of the planes (planar handbook) let's you use gate 16 times for 43100gp. if you find some way to recharge its charges then you're set for life.

of course, the most straightforward way to refresh the charges is to use the last gate to summon a wish-bestowing creature to ask for a brand new staff of the planes, but if you go to wishtown you probably wouldn't be needing a solution for planeshifting :)

The Shackled City Adventure Path has the lesser amulet of the planes, which is usable 1/day for 24,000gp. It's on the same level of official as Dragon Compendium.
