Created by Gregory Hurtzfield, Connie usually stands about 5' tall. However, that's because she tends to coil and slither lower to the ground-at full length, she's just over ten feet long. She's powered by an unknown source, something Gregory called "The Spark" before his disappearance. While Gregory had many experiments and creations, Connie was the first to be sentient-and as such, he felt a strong parental attraction to her. He raised Connie to help those in need, to always stay curious, to learn and grow as a person, and all manner of other good things.

Connie worked as his lab assistant for a half dozen years before Gregory vanished. He had been investigating something strange and potentially groundbreaking, but one day when he went away for a research trip, he just... Didn't come back. Connie maintained the lab for a month before finally breaking down, realizing that her father was gone. She took some time to gather herself, packed a bag with everything she could think of taking with, powered down most of the lab's gadgets and gizmos, and left to search for her dad.
Reposting Connie's brief backstory, and looking over the system to see about making a proper PC.

These somewhat genetically enhanced humans have adapted to live in the toxic environments of the Undercity of the Ecumenopolis that overran the earth in the far future. They are the freeborn descendents of post-human jannisarries made to fight in The Last War, which culminated in the subjugation of all peoples to Friend Computer, and, eventually, the overdevelopment of the world's urban centers into seemless sprawl accross every major landmass.

Racial disadvantages:
Bad luck (Sewerfolk are inherently unnatural and cursed by clean spirits and the gods of light)

Obese (Sewerfolk have larger fat stores and slower rates of speed than baseline humans, because they rarely need to run but face evolutionary pressure to absorb microtoxins)

Major habit: vaping (Sewerfolk have lived so long reliant on artificial stimulants that they are addicted on an epigenetic level and their genetically instilled resistance means they rarely have reason to suppress this)

Racial advantages:
+1 size (sewerfolk are just... big)

+1 toughness (Sewerfolk are tough, both from their genetic enhancement and generally secure diet rich in micronutrients as well as micropoisons)

+1 bonus resist environmental effects (The genetic supermen who represent the distant ancestors of Sewerfolk were made to be able to thrive in any environment, and their coddled descendents kept this capacity)

Immunity to poison and disease
(Their over-developed livers and kidneys, ample adipose layers, and post-human enhanced immune systems mean a Sewerfolk is very resistant to systemic disease, poison, has been pre-immunized against most viruses by endogenous means.)


Major: Phobia: natural vegetation. (The only place Squelch saw a tree before coming to the past was in the tree museum)

Minor: big mouth (Squelch came from a world where centuries of social media and Spyware erased most ideas of privacy from her culture. The idea that keeping secrets is a realistic option is novel amd strange to her)


Minor: poverty (As an immigrant from a future her presence prevented, Squelch has little pecuniary means and no support)

It is fun to chase exploding dice. On the other the max dc was 8 and 4 + 4 already made that. Also fun that 4+4+1 and 6+3 both equal nine. We will have to think of a better way to handle exploding dice in the system.

Just thinking about the reposting problem of the rolls. I guess the best idea may be to roll 3 or 4 dice in a post 1 at a time. Just using the top die of each and keeping it simple. Outside of damage rolls, and to a lesser extent attack rolls I don't really think they matter beyond an 8, so fun to stop there but it is fun to chase out the rolls and see how high the get. fnord

Long winded way of rolling a nine.
Going to cast Entangle on the assumption that since even though the motion sensor lets me know there is something there I need to use the blast templet for the AOE, the difference is in the casting cost, if I don't need to use the blast.

Entangle is a roll opposed by Agility.

Exactly like that, so you rolled under & by more than 4 so when Victoria enters for her little crisis you are fully restrained.

No option RAW to end the spell early so you will "need" to keep trying till you succeed. Up to the GM if that is really necessary since there is no pressure.

The spell description also make no mention of the TN for any subsequent rolls so presumably it stays 7
