Yes I know there is forums about this stuff but nothing really jumped at me so I want to give a little background, my character currently is bard7 looking to go into dirgesinger for the songs (I know dirgesinger isn’t the greatest around but I like the stuff it brings to my character) but the main goal isn’t to have a metric ton of undead minions taking up all the area the party could have to do combat but to enhance the party and add some more exciting flavor to my character. I am also licking into lichdom later on and there is currently no level cap so I can easily go beyond 20 levels. My DM hasn’t said yay or nay to homebrew but we are using all source books, mongoose publishing, sword and sorcery, legends and lair. We look into other stuff but it’s pending. Any help would be great and I’m open to lots of ideas!

The Siren round for Iron Chef had this build, Ziz (https://forums.giantitp.com/showthread.php?641848-Iron-Chef-Optimization-Challenge-in-the-Playground-CXVIII&p=25366370&viewfull=1#post25366370), which combined Dirgesinger and Siren to massive effect.

Note that this was only unambiguously possible thanks to the contest ruling that bardic music qualified for siren entry. Otherwise, the word 'innate' throws a wrench in the build. It's a bit ambiguous what is or isn't 'innate', but class abilities are almost never considered to be.

Requiem and Dragonfire Inspiration can work quite well for necromancer bards. Having hordes of undead that you can bolster is really effective if you can get a hard to resist energy type for Dragonfire Inspiration.

If your group is okay with homebrew I did try to do a more high power and effective Dirgesinger here (https://forums.giantitp.com/showthread.php?607455-Dirgesinger-A-Redux-of-the-Tragic-Bard-PRC) if you want to take a look.
