I was curious to know if warlock (as in a character that gets power from a patron/god) is something that is copyrighted or not. Or is it just a combination of the character setting+spells that is copyrighted? I know that stuff like paladin, fighter, and clerical aren't. But I have no idea about warlocks

No. Fictional and mythical Warlocks (with various meanings) have existed for centuries.

But if you wrote a game that had a class called Warlock that worked exactly the same as D&D 5e Warlocks, that might be a bit naughty.
