The Corusca Rainbow flies through space. Its current course has it flying through the Outer Rim through the Burgola system, where the gases of the trinary stars of the system are being siphoned away by the black hole they have been caught in orbit of. As the gases spiral down to the event horizon, they mingle, coalesce, and react, creating bursts of colors and lights that make the system a sightseeing destination.

Players aboard the Rainbow. You may introduce yourselves at your leisure, decribing whatever activity is occupying you in the comforts of the starliner.

Life aboard the ISD Korrut’s Vengeance is fairly easy. It has been a few hundred years since the last serious uprising, and relatively minor ones have been put down whenever they arise. Yes. Life in the Imperial military is pretty easy. And with the new freedoms the Empress is allowing for non-humans, it is even slowly becoming easier for other species.

Imperial players, you may describe your daily routine, and create any NPC you need or want. The Star Destroyer is commanded by Darth Sel'lat.

Lt. Colzet had just done a run through the ship, his daily routine of a run across the ship, he had asked permission of the senior command staff to be able to have a proper physical workout and he has a special pass that would allow him the general run of the ship for 2 hours each morning. howing his eagerness in keeping fit, helped him keep up pretences of being humanoid, he even had his body exude sweat, to simply show he was humanoid.

He had had his morning run, and had just arrived back at his quarters, having put down his excercise pass, he would make his way to the gym, to do some more strenght training. after that he would take his food, and "eat" privately in his personal chamber, the benefits of being a Lieutenant. Having spent some time in his quarters to have his food, he got dressed in his uniform/ armour and prepped himself for his assigned ship, awaiting instructions for high command to fly one or another officer whatever way she/he needed to go.

When he'd done this, he made his way to the hangars where his assigned ship was docked, giving it a manual inspection, even if his ship had assigned mechanics to see to the functioning of it, he still preferred to do an inspection himself. He would ask the mechanics all sorts of questions, not to doubt their efficiency but to understand the ship and it's possible issues, so he knows what to anticipate. He always tries to be friendly enough with the mechanics so as not to alienate them in the process, even with his naturally intimidating presence. He didn't mind the dreary state of affairs, he kept himself ready regardless, always on duty in his armour, pistol holstered. His newly acquired hammer he keeps in his quarters for now.

Alares was in the cantina with a glass of expensive Corellian brandy in front of him. The glass is still mostly full as he looks towards a large viewport taht shows the space around them. Not that he was looking. He was just lost on his own head.

Besides him, the environment is bubbly and glasses of red and pink Hoth Frost are being served around. Laughts get loud, and above the ambient music.

His hand unconciously touches his arm, and images of fire and destruction come to his head. He feels the pain again in his head. He could be dead... The hand moves towards the ring before he stops it and mutters under his breath "Let the sun be shinning on me".

Grabbing his drink he looks at the bartender and says "Any good entertainment around today?"

Z1X walks across the engineering deck of the Corusca Rainbow to deal with another project. Many ignore the droid considering it an obsolete model that doesn't have much time left before being decommissioned. However, there are those that appreciate older design aesthetics, even when the paint is chipped and the paneling dented. One of the senior mechanics happened to be such a person. So the captain lets it stay onboard as long as it is kept away from the passengers and it remains useful.

For the first few days after weaseling his way onboard the Corusca Rainbow with lies and some well-placed bribes, Pete hadn't been quite sure how to go about getting food without going into the dining room or having an actual room number. Raiding the trash was always a traditional option, except that he had to be extra-specially careful about his hygiene in a place as nice as this. But it turned out that on a ship as nice as this one, room service was offered gratis, and so all he all he'd had to do was write out: "Mistress wants burger, please!" on a slip of paper and hand it to the kitchen staff once (or sometimes twice!) a day. A few cooks had asked about his "mistress", but they couldn't understand Pete's response anyway, so he didn't even have to lie.

In fact, Peet had quickly discovered that it was easier to avoid awkward questions if he left Q4 behind in their between-decks hidey hole whenever he ventured out. Not being able to answer any of the good-natured questions made life a lot simpler! He just acted like he was supposed to be there, was careful to never get in anyone's way, used the servants' laundry daily to keep his spare robe clean, and no one gave him any trouble. (In fact, he was probably doing Jawas' reputation among the cruise-employees of the galaxy a world of good!) It helped that Pete was going to a great deal of mental effort not to (yet) take advantage of the amazing pilfering opportunities this cruise represented. He'd stuck to taking small items of no real value, and if the ship store was selling a few more replacement vibro-toothbrushes than normal, no one had yet noticed the pattern.

Still, he was making plans for the end of the cruise, because this ship had way more parts than it actually needed. From wandering the mechanical and engineering decks it looked like this ship often had two or three systems to do the same thing! Such a waste! Why anyone would design a ship with so many redundant systems was beyond Pete, but it made for a fantastic opportunity. He was making a mental list of out-of-sight power converters, couplings, and other components that he could quickly grab soon before landfall and throw in a waste-disposal cart, and then just have Q4 push the cart out a service hatch. Meanwhile, the end of the trip would also be the perfect time to start helping himself to the guests' valuables--until they got home and unpacked they wouldn't even know what they were missing!

"This cruise was the best idea ever!" Pete thinks to himself as he scampers along the engineering deck carrying his latest plate piled high with fries and a juicy burger. Lost in thought about ransacking the ship, Pete ignores the quadruped Droid going about its work--it was far to big to sneak off the ship, and so wouldn't be practical to steal!

Zix plugs into the socket in the terminal and begins accessing data routines. As it downloads information, it runs them through its various subroutines. Nothing unusual, more low-level maintenance. But then a subroutine flags a task as critical. The program contains a subroutine that requires Zix to leave the engine bay, go up four floors to the third-class steerage, and enter the cargo bay there to retrieve a part that has marked as critical and time sensitive. The part does not have a name, only a serial number (Z8kwS7kG).

The Jawa has already gathered a few things. Small things, things that would never be missed. Things that hadn't even been installed yet. And his forays through the ship had revealed perhaps more secrets than one would really want to know on the goings on below the more populated decks of the ship. But that was hardly the point.

The point was that while things went on for the rich beings above, down here was a crazy blurring level of activity. Like how a ship docked in a previously unused docking bay just three sections away from his hidey-hole. And so far, only two beings had been in to the docking bay. And neither of them were technicians or mechanics. And the ship was incredibly shiny. Solid shining durasteel, polished to a silver that gleamed, even in the dim light of the half lit docking bay.

The ship looks in good repair. And since there have not been any recent combat actions recently, it has had no reason for anything other than routine maintenance for some time.

All you can recall of Tella is how she has often expressed her sympathies for your 'deceased wife.'

There is a lift that takes Zix to the appropriate floor. The droid gets several odd looks as it traverses the corridor, but with the current markings of the ship on its chassis, the droid is soon past them, and heading into the cargo bay.

The dim light is not a problem for Zix, and the droid begins scanning the containers, searching for the correct one. When the serial number is located, Zix scans the container, and then consults the programmed orders. The order states to interface with the container to transmit clearance codes. Zix connects to the crate, and transmits its authorization. But instead of retrieving a part, the droid finds that the 'part' in question is encrypted data being downloaded into the droid. Data that the droid cannot access or read. But a diagnostic program indicates that the downloaded information is not a program. Only data. And onboard antislicing countermeasures verify that the data is legitmate and does not require deletion or memory wipe.

Shiny ship! Scarfing down the rest of his latest burger, Peete heads back to the hidey hole and gives Q4 a completely unnecessary noogie. He chitters to his droid: "Keep watching my stuff! Peete is off to see shiny ship!" Throwing his camouflage poncho around himself for greater concealment, Peet starts crawling quietly through the maintenance ductwork towards the landing bay with the durasteel ship.

(OOC: If Peet can get a view of the hanger from a duct, great. Otherwise he'll sneak into the landing bay and find as good a spot as he can for an extended stakeout. He'll take 10 on any Stealth checks, for a net result of 31. In addition to watching for any activity, he's curious about any markings on the ship, or visible equipment like weapons. His patience will last up to four hours--if nothing interesting happens in that time he'll get bored staring at the shiny ship and instead do something rash.)

For 1.265 seconds, not much time for an organic being to think but a considerable number of processor cycles, Z1X does something rather unusual for a droid. It has a bad feeling about this and considers deleting the information regardless of if it is safe to carry. Then Z1X runs a self diagnostic algorithm because feelings are weird things only organics have and proceeds to check as to what is supposed to be done with the data.
