So a while back, I thought I read a spell that allowed the caster to create functioning permanent until killed or dismissed clones of himself of a level equal to a number of negative levels that he himself would take, chosen at the time of casting. For instance, Bob, a 20th-level wizard, casts the spell and chooses to take 5 negative levels, thus creating a duplicate of himself when he was level five, or 5 duplicates of himself at level one. The biggest caveat of the spell is that you could not make any duplicates that had a level equal to or higher than half the originals level. For instance, Bob, our 20th-level wizard, could at most choose to take nine negative levels, thus creating a level nine version of himself, but not any more than that.
At least, that's how I remember the spell working. I could have read it from a third-party source, too. so that would make finding it a bit more tricky. :smallannoyed:
Anyway, any help finding this elusive spell would be much appreciated.
