Again, I'm looking for a game that I know exists but can't remember the title of.

Query parameters:

it is on GoG
it is an adventure/puzzle game
it is about investigating and solving crimes/mysteries
the setting is at least somewhat futuristic
the protagonist is a women how is (mostly?) confined to her room/house so she has to rely on news articles, phone calls etc. to investigate the cases
the style and colours are more on the bright side then dark
I think it is 2D, but I'm not sure if it is pixelated

Ringing any bells?

Parts of what you write remind me of Technobablyon, but that's probably not it.

No, that's not it.

Technobablyon is good, though

Out of curiosity, have you found it? While I don't think I'm familiar with it ("Whispers of a Machine" checks most of the boxes, but the protagonist is definitely not confined to a room, so it's not it), it does sound like something I'd like.

Sadly, I haven't :smallfrown:

But oh well. There are already enough games on my wishlist to last for three years...

I wish I could help you, it sounds like a game I'd enjoy too. None of hte indie scifi detective games I can find sound anything like it.

Is it Song of Farca?

No problem, it was a tough one to recall for some reason, even after playing and enjoying it.
