Alas, it is time for another versus thread! This time, two Machiavellian manipulators face it against each other - both of whom are extremely powerful even in a straightforward confrontation.

The first challenger is Bleach's Aizen Sosuke (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aizen), ex-Shinigami Captain whose fan nicknames include "Captain Broken" and "Evil Superman". He expertly manipulated the whole Soul Society for many years, creating a benevolent facade to reach his insidious goals, and his battle power is at peak Shinigami level.

His opponent - miss Esmeralda Weatherwax (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Granny_weatherwax) of Discworld's fame, who is so skilled at headology that she even rarely has to use her powers as a witch. She doesn't have to cheat Death at cards, Death cheats to make sure he doesn't win by accident!

Balancing notes:
1. We aren't sure how Aizen's bankai works, so let's assume he doesn't use it. He still has his shikai, with the ability to create incredibly realistic illusions that fool not only sight, but all the senses. Of course, that puts our old Capt'n at a disadvantage, so...
2. It's a one-on-one fight, no allies. Seriously, although Aizen has definately more minions, they'd just get in the way - Granny could send Ichimaru Gin crying in a second, and I wouldn't be surprised if she managed to convert Tousen to her side! And on whom would you bet in a fight - Nanny Ogg and Greebo OR any number of Arrancars?
3. This is for rule-lawyers and other pain in the arse types - yes, Granny can see Captain Aizen even though he's not in a gigai. And yes, either Aizen has means of entering Discworld or Granny has means of entering Heuco Mundo. You decide.

Absolutely no contest. Granny wins by a landslide.

Por Aizen. He never really stood a chance.

If the contest is happening on Discworld, Granny wins. In that situation, she is the 'protagonist' defending her ground against an invader. The natural magic of Discworld bends to her side, and her own knowledge of story tropes and how to manipulate Narrative Causality ensures her victory. It might take several hundred pages, she might even die once or twice, but she wins in the end.

If Granny has to go to Heuco Mundo for some reason.. well, she'd better have a damn good reason to be there. And she'll probably lose. She knows how to manipulate the magic of the Discworld; in another dimension of existence altogether, she has only her knowledge of psychiatry and her personal power to draw on. While her personal power is (probably) quite extensive, the price of magic has to be paid sooner or later: even if Granny can stand up to Aizen's power, it does her no good if she disintegrates as soon as the effects of doing so catch up with her. Although she could perhaps guide him through the door.. I wonder how Aizen would respond to being faced with the desert of real Death?

No contest: whether it's a straight-up contest of magical power or one of political manipulation, Granny would put up a good fight but get her ass kicked.

And then, just when events have passed the point of no return, it would become apparent that she had arranged things so that getting her ass kicked by Aizen would decisively and devastatingly further her own goals.
