OK, I came to the forum today to create a versus thread. You may proceed to pelt me with rocks.
Now, the characters I am pitting against each other are Greco from THIS novelette (what's the difference between that and a novella anyway?) : http://www.infinityplus.co.uk/stories/under.htm, and the Blind Idiot God Azathoth.
My money is on Azathoth, because when Greco tries to Understand him, he'll go mad. I think that if Reynolds showed a bit more common sense, he wouldn't try, and would therefore stand a better chance.
Come to think of it, probably not. He'd go mad just looking at him. And bigger brains mean more to go mad, so I don't think he's helped out a lot here.
