What are the differences between adventure paths and society and adventure card games?
Well, APs and Society are for the Pathfinder roleplaying game, whereas the ACG are for the Pathfinder card game. Different game, same setting.

The RPG is commonly played by post. I've never heard of anyone playing a card game by post, but I suppose one could.

Each AP is a long story that takes a group of PCs from level 1 to somewhere between level 15 and 20 (depending on the AP in question) and are intended to be played mostly with the same group. PFS is a series of scenarios lasting about 4 - 5 hours each, that can be played in flexible order. Each scenario has a level range and there are several overarching larger plots, as well as recurring locations and NPC allies and antagonists. These are intended to be played mostly with the same character (you reuse your character and level up every 3rd scenario) but with a flexible group.

HTH!
