Recently I’ve been working on Druid subclasses for the fae courts of summer, winter, autumn, and spring. Druid circles that have solid connections to the fae.

Each court has elements to it other than the season itself. For Summer we have War, Wrath, and the blistering sun.

Circle of the Summer Court

Summer has always been the season of war and wrath. For millennia uncounted armies have clashed beneath the Summer sun. Druids oathbound to the Summer Court are first and foremost warriors. While they stand vigil, nature is protected and no threat goes unanswered. To threaten their territory is to know the wrath of the burning sun.

-Summer Soldier: When you join this circle at 2nd level, you are able to handle weapons of war using your superior perception and instincts. You gain the following benefits:
-You gain proficiency with all simple and martial weapons without violating your Druidic vows. Additionally, you add your Wisdom bonus in place of Strength or Dexterity to your melee attack and damage rolls.
-By adorning your body with war paints and the furs of predators, and not wearing armor, your AC becomes 10+ your Wisdom modifier + your Constitution modifier.

-Bred for Battle: At 2nd level, you gain proficiency in 2 of the following skills: Athletics, Acrobatics, Intimidation, Animal Handling, or Survival.

-Summer’s Fury: At 2nd level, you learn to channel the wrath of the season of war. As a bonus action, you may expend one use of your Wild Shape feature to enter a state of fury. For 1 minute you gain the following benefits:
-Your melee attacks deal additional Radiant damage equal to your proficiency bonus.
-Your form sheds bright light for 20ft and dim light for an additional 20ft. This effect dispels magical darkness.
-You have advantage on Constitution saves to maintain concentration on spells. Any spell you cast that allows an enemy to make a save suffers disadvantage.
Summer’s Fury ends if it’s time elapses, you use your Wild Shape feature again, you fall unconscious, or if you die.

-Fiery Heart: At 6th level, the wrath of the season of war burns the weakness from your heart. You cannot be charmed, frightened, magically commanded, or magically made to sleep.

-Hammer and Anvil: At 10th level, you can form your anger into a bulwark of defense or a crushing hammer. When you are in the throes of Summer’s Fury you gain one of the following benefits for it’s duration:
-You become resistant to all damage types, except for psychic. In addition, you gain temporary Hit Points equal to 10 + twice your character level. Any remaining temporary Hit Points vanish upon leaving Summer’s Fury.
-You can sacrifice spell slots to deal Radiant damage. When you hit a creature with a melee attack, you can expend a spell slot to deal Radiant damage to the target equal to 1d6 per spell slot level sacrificed.

-Berserker’s Cry: At 14th level, your roar is bolstered by a berserker’s rage. You may cast Fear a number of times per long rest equal to your proficiency modifier. This spell is considered a Druid spell for you, and does not count against the number of spells that you can prepare each day. When used in this way, the only component needed is your battle cry.

-Summer Wild Shape: (Optional) When a summer berserker takes on the shape of a beast it is always the physical peak of that animal. Their eyes glow a vibrant yellow, and their hides are comprised of a wide range of warm summer colors. No expression of peace ever graces their features.
