[PF 1e/FR] Classics Megaplex, Part I – The Sunless Citadel

Hello!

I would like to ST a campaing based upon the ready-made adventures for DnD 3e. I would like to begin at level 1, with the Sunless Citadel.

The game will be set in Forgotten Realms and we will be using the mechanics of Pathfinder 1e. You can take anything that’s in this SRD (https://www.d20pfsrd.com/)(with the exception of Spheres).

I would like to find at least 4 players, but I can accept slightly more.

90 gold is a little less than average, but it's enough to buy a Dwarven Waraxe (30gp), Hide armour (15gp) and a Heavy Steel Shield (20gp) plus a little extra for adventuring supplies so it'll do.

Done upgraded gods, had to change Domain as he doesn't have fire for Sun (Thirst) domain.

Had to change favored weapon, but bought a longspear.

I assume only stuff on d20pfsrd, even if it's incomplete and other sites have the full material? (For instance, the rajah (https://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/3rd-party-classes/dreamscarred-press/rajah/) is on the site, but the rajah's veils aren't, making it somewhat unplayable. There are other examples but that's the first one that springs to mind)

The spheres wiki (http://spheresofpower.wikidot.com/other-options) has a bunch of non-sphere things on it, although I think almost everything (except for spheres) on it is also on Library of Metzofitz (https://libraryofmetzofitz.fandom.com/wiki/Library_of_Metzofitz), which has a lot of third-party material on it - LoM has a replacement (https://metzo.miraheze.org/wiki/Library_of_Metzofitz) site, although I don't think all the material has been transferred over yet. And of course Archives of Nethys (https://aonprd.com/) is the main one for Paizo-only stuff with all the Golarion-specific lore still intact (although that's less relevant since this game is set in FR.)

Backstory:
In a town not too far from here, Caden Nelson was born to a loving mother, and an indifferent father. He was lightly built, not strong but fast and accurate. He could beat any other kid in a contest of dexterity, wit, or wisdom. But, when his mother died when he was 14, he fell into a depression. He was devastated by the loss, as his mother was very dear to him. But when a vigilante was passing through town, he noticed Caden’s accuracy while Caden was hunting. He taught Caden how to use a pistol with precision and grit. Caden soon became very passionate about it, and slowly became a bit happier, as he had something to fill the void. The Vigilante left without warning one night, leaving just a pistol and ammo for Caden. When Caden found out, he set out on the open road, looking for adventure, and this person that helped him fill the void.

Hamza has never really been one for adventures or even travel for that matter, but after a rather unfortunate and violent incident with a dwarven noble where her anger got the better of her, Hamza was asked to leave for a while at least until things cooled down. Making a living as a bodyguard and a blacksmith, Hamza put her anger issues to good use against goblin and orc raiders who harassed caravans and merchants alike while also fixing carts and repairing weapons and armour.

During her travels Hamza arrived in a small town called Oakhurst and sought temporary employment with the local blacksmith. It was here she learned of the goblins, their mysterious fruit and the apparent monopoly they have on it. Not one to ever trust a goblin, Hamza has decided to look into this Sunless Citadel and the goblin tribe that infests it.

Krick-Krack was never strong. Krick-Krack was never charismatic. Krick-Krack was never wise. So Krick-Krack could not do the traditional jobs of the tribe. Krick-krack would have to make his own path. He began designing plans for explosions like that of a dragons breath. He was clever, he figured out how to combine a junk gun he found, with the explosion! Now that he has mastered his strength, he seeks the gather treasure from the sunless citadel, to bring prosperity to his tribe.

When you get the money, Paddlefoot is a pretty sweet pistol to buy (holds 4 bullets before needing reloading), you could TWF with it even.

Plus, you could do area attacks with pellets.

If Kaworu does allow that site, Combat training is pretty cool for trait, maybe exchange Exalted one of mine for it (I can handle losing one channel).
Not sure which maneuver I'd take, but it might be useful for the options.

Background (in case hard to find)

Bella was raised in a tribe of the Moakato people. While there she learned under the Shaman about the spirits of their people and the shaman's god Lathander. Eventually, her dad wanted them to move to the city of Caudron, south of Boareskyr Bridge and northeast of the Elturel. She was still young so she had to bid the village farewell. The city was nice... if too noisy.
She continued her practice of her magics. She continued her honoring of the spirits even there.She swore an oath to rely on Lathander and not armor to protect her. Somehow she feels that Searenae has took her oath seriously as she feels closer than ever.

She hears the call for adventure and is sure this will please Lathander.

Damian does not have many memories of his childhood; as a child he was part of a caravan that passed through the lowlands. The caravan was attacked and he was trapped under some rubble of the cart where he was traveling. Bleeding and at the mercy of whoever found him, death awaited him. But apparently destiny still had plans for him; That night he was rescued by Nig'tar. Nig'tar was a tielfing magus who was 'famous' for manipulating his red armor by pulling out spikes and more.

Unfortunately Damian showed no proficiency in the arcane arts; His mind, according to Nig'tar, was too chaotic and he did not reach the level of focus to cast a spell. Not letting that discourage him, and wanting to show that he could do something he decided to deal with scrolls and wands. To his surprise, he was very skilled at manipulating disposable materials using his chaotic mind, reconstructing the spell process and casting it without problems.

One day, when he was seeing what else he could do, Nig'tar decided with all the grace in the world that he was ready and sent him around the world, throwing him through one of the 'windows' of the cave where they lived. It didn't take him long to receive with 'all care' a backpack with his things at his side. He reluctantly left the vicinity, only to show a worried face when he was already far away.

He had learned to read from him and among his things he found clues that someone or something was looking for her. If he had stayed that long he went for him; For that reason he couldn't really blame her for anything. But that did not mean that he was going to sit idly by, there was a world ahead of him to be able to grow and perhaps be able to find himself again and put an end to 'that' that follows him. Of course, it had nothing to do with Nig'tar being a hottie.

That same day he arrived in his first town in many years.

Backstory below:

It had been long since there had been so much as a glimpse of the rare, shy creatures who once ran through the deep forests above the falls; but the folk of the dells and farmsteads below kept their memory alive. Some families still told tales of ancestors who had been devoted to the Lady of the Forest, an ancient divinity of secret glades and remotest wilderness. Those ancestors had been adherents of the old ways, so devoted in spirit and flesh that they had drawn noble companions to their side, with a sleek coat like rippling moonlight and a horn as pale as pearls.

Generations since had come and gone, and few outside the forests and dells now believed those tales; but the strength and gentle power of those pale horns had suffused the souls of those whom they had chosen to walk beside. The essence of that power, selfless and true, has remained in their descendants ever after—though long now that power has slept, and none know when or in whom it might reawaken.

As the oldest of seven children, with a father constantly away on campaign, from her earliest years Nimisheo had taken on whatever responsibilities she could manage. At first she gathered herbs and fiddleheads from the woods just outside the farmyard; later she collected mushrooms and set snares, and took doves with a birder’s bow; and finally, when other girls her age were already married off, she was bringing down small game with her grandfather’s longbow. As her mother weakened under the constant pressure and toil, by necessity Nim grew keener and more accurate, until she could hit a hare from a hundred paces across a steep and wooded dell.

Her father had always fought for their local lord in local conflicts, barely supporting them with his scant pay; but when the Barons’ Peace brought those wars to a pause, her father had enlisted in a mercenary company, and marched off to some faraway land to fight in strangers’ wars. He had left with a promise that he would send money by trusted couriers, but no such money ever came—whether stolen, lost, debauched away or something worse, Nim and her mother had no idea. With half a dozen rowdy children to feed and a half-ruined farm to maintain, Nim watched as her mother crumpled from within, constantly fearing for her husband’s fate and despairing of keeping their home.

With no other choice before her, Nim arranged for a widowed cousin to stay with her family; and then she set out in search of her father—both in hopes that he might still be alive, and to give him a piece of her mind for leaving his wife and children unsupported. But as she begins her journey, a pernicious thought skulks in the back of her mind: if her father has fallen in battle, and if she can find definitive proof, then by his contract with the mercenary company Nim’s mother would be entitled to a small widow’s pension. It would be modest by the standards of most folk, a triviality to even a minor lord—but to Nim and her family, it might be all that keeps them from losing her grandfather’s farm.

A part of her hates herself for even thinking along these lines, calculating potential benefits before she’s certain of her father’s fate. But Nim is a second mother to her noisy brood of younger siblings, and their wellbeing and her mother’s is what drives her on. So as she steps into the unknown with her grandfather’s compass and bow, Nim is determined to find where her father is, and learn what has happened to him—because either way, her entire family is depending on her to ensure that they survive.

Noticed we have few healers on the group. Thats good. My class eventually will heal like crazy but it would take some time (level 9). Will heal like 30 hp with infernal healing alone.

Also, will have nightmares of that kobold. Something tells me it will be the bomb. Boom and Damian should never meet. I fear for the sanity of the group. *thumbs up* :smallcool:

Yes, but without infusions, get an item creation feat every odd level, can *specialize on a material* and get "hammer space" for a forge&items. Right now its going to be a pseudo mage...

Thank you, and no problem. Just wanted the option to use dex for attack without using a feat. Not a great loss on the global scale. Can be evil about other things.
