Question on Spheres 5e (Nature Sphere)

I'm currently playing a 5pheres character (yay, finally!), and have a minor question on the Nature sphere. When unlocking the Nature sphere, you get the Geomancy and Spirit abilities, as well as a geomancing package. However, it doesn't mention getting any spirit talents. Does this mean Spirit is effectively useless until you invest a second talent?

The base sphere spirit ability just gives the base mechanical effect for [spirit] talents; it requires talents to do anything. 5pheres tried to clean up mechanics so that they didn't have to be repeated unnecessarily.
