Raising Caster Levels Discussion Thread

Unfortunately that thread is too old to post in directly, and Pablefly is an incorrigible socialite with a full inbox. So rather than throw my PM away I'm creating a new discussion thread.

Suggested inclusions/Edits:

Prestige Class: Sublime Chord
It might be worth noting that your levels in Sublime Chord and another Arcane class stack with each other. Eg: A Bard 10/Sublime Chord 10 has effective caster level 20 in both classes.

Multiclassing Feats: Aligned Theurgy from Dragon #325
Requires an alignment based Cleric domain. Spells you cast with the same alignment descriptor use the sum of all your caster levels in classes in which you can cast spells of the chosen alignment.
Works great with certain ACF's such as Aligned Spellcaster (DrM #357), &/Or spells such as Mark of the Enlightened Soul (Dragon Magic)

Domains:
Transformation domain gives +1 Caster Level to Transmutation spells
Truth domain gives +1 Caster Level to Divination spells.

Equipment: Rod of Elemental Mastery
Grants its bonus to spells of a Wu-Jen Element, not a school, as per Elemental Mastery class feature.

Equipment: Talisman of the Twelve Moons
+1 for Shifter race outside at night. Becomes +2 (ie: extra +1) if has Wild Shape and in Animal form.

The wording is super important here: it's caster level = sum of class levels, not caster level = sum of caster levels. The latter is a much more powerful effect under optimization with just Psiotheurgist and Theurgic Specialist amongst feats having that wording.

This is there under 'domains', it's just that the '1' is missing.

Correct, yes. "The Sum of all your spellcasting classes that grant spells with that alignment-based spell descriptor."

Yup. The 1's were missing and the word Transmutation was written as Transformation.


Where is this from? The similarly named and identical effect Rod of Elemental Might from Complete Mage is there.
Apologies yes - Elemental might. It's listed as +2 for a School, but it's +2 for an Element which is why I called it up. Similarly, the talisman is there but the caster level boost is listed wrong.
