Who's got the better choreography?

In my opinion, the SOS Brigade dances a lot better.

Is it pathetic that I knew exactly what this topic was going to be about just from the title?

Anyway, first of all, the video's skewed because it's showing the all-dance version of Hare Hare Yukai with the original version of Sailor Fuku. A better comparison would be with the full cheerleading routine (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kTlfvlGwO-Q). I see someone on YouTube had the same though and posted a vid reply.

Now, taking that into account...I like the Lucky Star music better (blasphemy, I know), but if we're just going for dance choreography (or overall cuteness), I have to go with the SOS Brigade here.

However, the actual winner of this contest is clearly the guy who originally did this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2N1e-nRZfjo).

SOS Brigade has better choreography, and that's expected - Haruhi, being the horrible but loveable slavedriver that she is, simply cracked the whip enough times to make them dance PERFECTLY the way she wanted them to.

As a side comment, Hare Hare Yukai is hellishly difficult to dance because no moves repeat themselves. I tried, I know.

They must redo the selection since the ending dance Goshūshō-sama Ninomiya-ku was not included.

How about the dance at the 4:55 mark here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vSb-nV8l2QY)?

The first one was too much like the happy hands club from Napoleon Dynamite. The second one was faster, more extreme, and more original. Plus it had techno in the background.

I know as well. I can do it almost perfectly

Haruhi Suzumiya definitely is better. I love it.

LOL, I tried to get a few friends to learn it with me, cuz I completely fell in love with it. They all loved it, but didn't want to learn it, so I don't think I should learn it alone. :smallfrown:

Lucky Star scares me for some reason.

However, the actual winner of this contest is clearly the guy who originally did this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2N1e-nRZfjo).

And that scares me twice as much.

I think scariness might be the point of Lucky Star...

Oh no, wait, the point is to be a 22-minute commercial for Kyoto Animation's other shows. Nonetheless, I'd be interested if anyone knows where to find good subs of it. I've had some annoying experiences with things I find on Tokyo Toshokan (you include dual English/Japanese soundtracks...but no English subs? Argh! How am I supposed to enjoy dubbed Haruhi?)

Man, I was hoping this would be about animated dances in animated films.

Well, is there anything better than Fantasia, in that case?

Hey, I posted one of those!

Of course, you were probably thinking of films along these lines (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mwtc9SAzrP8) (although this scene isn't exactly a dance :P It's getting harder to find clips of this, it seems)

Well, since you asked (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=heD8vqv0y2Y) so nicely (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V8Ca_edg6RE&feature=related)...

By the way, I favor the Haruhi dance. Also crabs (http://www.weebls-stuff.com/toons/crabs/).
