Shapechanging

What are the best creatures to wildshape/polymorph into? Why? What books are they located in? These questions and many more will hopefully be answered in this thread.

There was a thread called Master of Many Cheeses, which listed all the possible cheeses for Master of Many Forms. In there somewhere on the first page is a link to the shapechangers bible. Which has nearly everything you want. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.

I haven't tried it, but the War Troll (MM3) is said to be the stuff.
