View Full Version : Happy New Year!

By the time I've finished writing this post it'll be about 25 minutes into 2008. Congratulations to all who have made it this far! Be sure to save your game at the save point.
What am I doing on this momentous occasion, you ask? Why, I'm sitting at home alone with my boyfriend who never gets excited about anything - he doesn't understand what the big deal is about weddings, for crying out loud - watching Rage and wishing a happy new year on a forum of a webcomic devoted to D&D to people I never have and probably never will meet.
But that's my problem, I'll deal with it.
To reiterate:

HAPPY NEW YEAR PLAYGROUND!

Heh, its 8:30 AM here. (im not counting how long until 2008)
but I recall, in a small town I used to live in,
Every new year, the entire community would have a new years party at the community center. Everyone came. There was music, decorations, ah, good times. good times. :smallcool:

Now I know you live in either New South Wales or Victoria, Serpo. Or Tasmania. Either which way, it's only a matter of time now.

I am ofcourse joking, please dont take that the wrong way XD

and as for me I've still got twenty five minutes of glorious 2007 left, focusing all my energy on fulfilling atleast one of my double-whammy new years resolution from this year.

Ten bucks on failure! Ten bucks on failure!
ahem.

HAPPY NEW YEAR, Y'ALL!

Happy New Year, Y'all, even if it is a half hour late...

Meh, At least you have SOMEONE with you, Serpentine. I is are all alone, talking to a grand one person on MSN, playing retro video games, and listening to music from before the turn of the millenium.

I don't care what they say, we should go BACK in time to when things were challenging... Either way... *Saves Game* Now... *Straps self to firework*
WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!

12.36 AM, GMT+10.

Felixaar
2007-12-31, 08:50 AM
What do you know, I failed that resolution XD y'all owe me ten bucks. Kidding. Unless I can find another girl and succesfully ask her out in the remaining seven minutes...

*looks around*

Not worth it. Totally not worth it.

Warshrike

Oooh, You have a girlfriend resolution, too?? Yeah, my friends decided my resolution of getting a girlfriend is less likely than my other friends resolution to NOT kill someone.

actually, considering the luck I have with Wimminz, I LIKE those odds.

Hello all! Happy New Year!

Came in to post this, now I'm off again! (12.54 am)

What am I doing on this momentous occasion, you ask? Why, I'm sitting at home alone with my boyfriend who never gets excited about anything - he doesn't understand what the big deal is about weddings, for crying out loud -

I don't see what the big deal is with weddings either.

I had a girlfriend resolution last year. This year I decided that getting into a relationship purely because you think you want to is not going to lead to a good outcome.

...Okay, I scrapped it because I sucked at it last year. Happy? XD

Well, I'm drying my hair and putting my make up on. (There are not many times I actually bother to do that in a year.) An hour and a half left to go in my time-zone.

(finally found out ten minutes ago where I'd like to celebrate this year :smallwink: Party at the Irish Pub with a live band who calls their style "Celtic Rock/Irish Speed/Gothic Folk" -sounds like fun:smallbiggrin: )

a Happy New Year to all of you, may your most important wishes for 2008 become true, have fun tonight, and for those who had a rough last year -

remember to have a drink to it at midnight and call: "Yeah, nice try 2007. I'm still here, what about you?" :smalltongue:

i've still got 11 hours and 30 minuets, or just under that if you want to get picky.

know what i've done to celebrate the last day of the year? i went with my kiddo an got him a happy meal at McDonalds. So whats he do? cry because i didn't put shrek in the DVD player when we got home. i've already watched it once, and the past two months i've had to watch one of the three shrek movies every day. kids and the things they do... makes me glad i'm still a kid at heart.

Well, being that I just woke up about an hour ago and its only 9:37 am, I still have a while left. Is 2008 looking any better than 2007? Because I can't tell if recent events are a vicious 2007 joke or the beginning of a very unpleasant 2008. Ooh well, only time will tell.

HAPPY NEW YEARS TO ALL!:smalltongue:

Still 9 hours and 26 minutes (or so) left until the New Year here in NC, but I'll probably be out at that time. (I've got a friend whose birthday is today, and he's turning 21, so you can probably imagine our New Year's festivities.) Anyway -

Thanks Serpentine! It's good to have a friend in the future ^^ This way we know there is a fully working whole new year coming to us in a few hours.

And as I was saying to someone in chat right now, remember, a new year is always a chance of making a better future. Just using the bad things in the past (and the good things too) to make the choices that will bring you more happiness.

About the forum thing, I think it's great to be able to have friends in all the world. Meeting people here as part of this community has surely been one of the highlights of my year. I had a difficult year emotionally and all, and finding people who are willing to talk to me and accept me for what I am was important for me.

Here's my toast, for one more year of GitP friendship, one of a lot to come! ^^

Turrón for everybody! ^^

Only 11.5 more hours until 2008 is here. I can't wai— Happy not-yet New Year! It's been 2008 for negative 11 n' a half hours here!
That string of words that you just said made absolutely no sense at all. Plus, you did the same thing on Christmas Eve. Quite frankly, it's getting old now.
*snif* This year was the most horrible year in all my life.
Actually, that's only because you're called "Depressed Bitz." I've been expecting you to say something like that ever since SenselessGoofy Bitz said "Happy not-yet New Year."
*sob* Now I'm being criticized for who I am! Why? WHY!?!?
*sighs*
The Olympics are next year.
Yes, why do you even care, you hate sports—
SPORTS!?!? KILL!!!
—... Angry Bitz scares me when he shouts. And brandishes that greataxe.
*growl* *eye twitch*
Anyways, I've been thinking about starting on a Webcomic for the past few—
Don't!
Don't!
Don't!
Amazing. The other Bitzeralisises are uniting against me. Again.
It'll be hard!
People will laugh!
I hate webcomics!
I hate to admit it, but only Goofy Bitz has made a point here. All you other people are just being who you are.
Ha! *sticks out tongue at others*
... *twitch* *cry*
You dare challenge my honor!? *allude*
Quite frankly, I'm amazed when Goofy Bitz is able to provoke Depressed and Angry Bitz. That's usually my job.
I'm sorry.
About what?
Not you, them!
Oh.
At least Goofy Bitz apologizes! *sob*
At least Goofy Bitz apologizes! *growl*
Oh, come on! He has the intellect of a mouse!
Iii... llike... CHEEZE WIZ!
Yes, I know Satan eats Cheeze Whiz, but that's not relevant to the current situation.
...what situation?
You know what I'm talking abo—
Happy not-yet New Year to all! —... I think I just lost my train of thought.
