I just woke up here, it's December 31, 2007, 8:10 AM. And I woke up in time to see the New Year Fireworks in Australia.
I live in the west, so in theory I'm one of the last people to see it.
This is the Countdown Thread! Simply Post here when you're already in 2008!

As of 15 minutes ago, it is 2008. Maybe a tad earlier than for most of you folks, but hey.
Happy new year peoples!
(Sorry if I'm not too lucid at the moment. Partied too hard)

As of the typing of this post, it is 12:47 AM here in scenic Saskatoowan, future birthplace of Luke Skywalker.
And all thanks to the a rousing rendition of John McClane's original "Let's Shoot Terrorists, Hurrah" sung in DVD.
12:51 here in scenic Alberta (where it's so cold I can't go watch the fireworks). :smallannoyed:

Also in Alberta!
Not too cold for me. However, I am too drunk to go anywhere. Which is kinda why it does not feel as cold
Anyway, happy 2008 to everyone! *opens second bottle of wine*
EDIT: tomorrow I'll feel so hurt :smalleek:
