All grid coordinates are given width first, then height. The top-left square is position 1,1 and the bottom-right is position 58,61. Blue squares indicate starting position for Team Goody-Goody, green for Team Evil, black are obstacles (assume made of stone).

Duke, you say that we can assume we've cast all buff spells with durations of longer than 10 minutes/level?

If so, Brother Emil will cast Scroll of Magic Stone (on my sling bullets).

I'm not used to 3.5 (we still use 3.0 at home), so I didn't notice that all the Bull's Strength type spells are now only one minute/level :smalleek: . I had expected to cast all those, but if I cannot then I guess I won't. (also, could I swap those scrolls out after this fight for something else? It was my mistake, so I'll understand if not -- dang 3.5! :smallannoyed: )

In the first round of actual combat, Brother Emil will throw Shield of Faith, Mass (+3 to everyone's AC's) on the party; and move to keep up (as well as he can with a 20' move) if the rest of the party moves (otherwise he'll stay where he is).

He'll also say, "If we can stick close together for another moment, I can request AID from Ilmater for all of us."

Each square is 5', yes. If the only thing you're doing is moving, you may take two move actions. (I.e., a second move action as your standard action.)

The Centaur announces (in elvish) that he will make a quick scouting check.

if at any point LoS IS established, rather than attacking, he will remain silent and head back up toward the rest of the goody goodies. (can do this mid-move, base speed is 50, taking the full movement for the first and only half for the second to enable at least partial return.)

The ceiling is 20' (sorry, I thought I had mentioned that, my bad). The obstacles are floor-to-ceiling, and are, for all purposes that matter, made of stone.

Round 1

Brother Emil casts shield of faith, mass, granting all members of Team Goody-Goody a +3 deflection bonus to AC (does not stack with other deflection bonuses).

Luke Fenris hears a rumble of DM thunder, warning him to put his character name on each post, and moves off in one direction, while Stormhoof attempts to move silently, but quickly in the opposite direction. Neither of them can spot anything around the arena obstacles.

Tom quaffs a potion of fly while Bob waits to see an opponent, but none come into sight.

Brother Maynard, Jack, and Larry all seem distracted by the grandeur of the arena, and fail to act.
