I was watching the first series of 'That Mitchell and Webb look' after my friend leant me the DVD. When I saw this sketch (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zFuMpYTyRjw) I couldn't help but think that this is a very funny analogy for high level D&D play.

But shouldn't he be using his all-day Foresight to get off a Greater Celerity, which he then uses to cast Timestop, followed by more or less whatever he wants? In this case, he looks to be spamming Gate...

Now I need to go make a Homebrew Class capable of summoning invisible angels.
Thanks a lot, Internet.

The similarity is uncanny that I would be willing to bet that the writers got the inspiration from D&D.
Also, given the fact that he can summon hordes, I would assume that he's abusing Gate and summoning Solars, who then Gate in more Solars until he has a celestial horde.

Summoning angels would be pretty useful.
"You stand before the King-"
"I summon an angle of Dominion"
"Wha? Ok.........The royal guarads point their swords at it"
"My angel uses his +18 skill rank in diplomacy to convince the king to make myself the new ruler of his lands"
".......You can't.........."
"I don't see why it wouldn't be situationally impossible"
*rolls*"..........how the hell did you pass the check!?"
