So I had rolled up a sword sage the other day for an ECL 20 campaign I'm in with some friends. And I was debating multi-classing at first until I saw this little ditty. Raging Mongoose + Girmallon Windmill Flesh Rip(GWFR) + Time Stands Still. This can only be done with a Swordsage 20 due to it requiring two boosts.

Raging Mongoose gives you two additional attacks with each weapon at your highest BaB, GWFR grants additional rend damage for every successful attack, and Time Stands Still grants you two full attack actions. If you have a full progression of two-weapon fighting, you end up with 20 attacks, 12 of which are at your highest BaB, and each hit that lands turns up the dial on your additional rend damage.

That's just.... really cool.

Sorry had to share.

It is indeed a fun combination. For extra fun, throw in an extra set of arms. Depending on how you do it, it will likely cost you the Swordsage's capstone, but the extra attacks gained help to offset that.

For extra extra fun, build it in a gestalt game so you can get both, AND throw in some Bloodstorm Blade so you don't have to be in melee range to do it.

If you can find a way to get multiple swift actions in a round, throw in some War Mind so that each of these attacks is also hitting two squares for extra extra extra fun.

But thats just getting silly (and more than a little powergamey, possibly encroaching on munchkinism). :smalltongue:

Well as gestalt, you could also put 2 levels into Bloodclaw master, and lose your penalty for dualwielding and gain a full strength bonus on your offhand. You could also add rogue levels, or better yet sneak attack fighter levels for additional sneak attack damage and a full bab, granting you 22 attacks with the combo.

Don't forget to add Master Thrower if you add in Bloodstorm blade and War Mind. Palm Throw, weak spot and your choice at level 3, trip attack is pretty nice. Use daggers for shadow blade.

7 attacks/round * 2 rounds with time stop * 2 daggers per attack = 28*(d4+DEX+INT if you work in Swashbuckler 3 on the non-swordsage side) at 2 adjacent opponents thanks to War Mind.

That's if you can get multiple swifts. If not, you can either dual boost OR hit 2 enemies. Still not bad

Anothe little gem to add to all that is to get a pair of +1 Keen Weapon Aptitude kukiris at around 8k each.

Then get the feat Lightning Maces. Every time you crit while duel wielding light maces (kukiris count because of Weapon Aptitude) you gain an extra attack. So now your 20 attacks, 1/4 crit giving you an extra attack, making it ~26 attacks in the sequence, more if you get lucky rolls. The rend damage has just left the building.

Windmill Flesh Rip caps out at 20d6 damage for 8 or more hits. You'd have enough attacks to deliver 8 hits to two (or more, if you're rolling well) targets, however, and your Blood In The Water bonuses would be impressive. (You're dual-wielding kukris and have a lot of Tiger Claw. Of *course* you're using Blood In The Water.)

Since you'll be dealing insane damage...why not go one step further and use the spell 'Sadism' from BoVD if you are allowed...a +1 to save/attack/dmg rolls next round for every 10 pts of damage delt...yeah...it could get stupid fast.

You get the two additional attacks per weapon from Raging Mongoose only for the first full attack during Time Stands Still. It simply says two additional attacks, not two additional attacks per full attack action.

Just looked it up you are correct, but it hardly matters. 16 attacks is hardly shameful.

Definitely a fun combination.

I would add that Quickdraw is a must have for anyone using this combo. You're going to kill everyone within your reach pretty quickly. So you're going to have to throw something after that if you don't want to waste attacks.

Its pretty much a nova maneuver, and only a swordsage can pull it off, but its still pretty awesome to think about.
