I'm wondering, is there a non-homebrew half drow, forgotten realms or otherwise? And if so, what book/source I might find it in?

Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting, under half elves. they are just halfelves with darkvision 60 instead of low-light vision. They have a PRC restriction that they can only take PRC's available to humans.

There's also the Half Drow/Drow transition class (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/sp/20040319a). Basically just a nerfed version of the Drow.

Also, there are a couple of Drow only feats and prestige classes out there, some of which are quite powerful. Being a Half Drow is a great way to qualify for them without having to take the LA.

Also, there are a couple of Drow only feats and prestige classes out there, some of which are quite powerful. Being a Half Drow is a great way to qualify for them without having to take the LA. You realize this only works if the feat/PrC specifies Drow blood, as opposed to "Race: Drow", right? Because otherwise a Half-Orc (who's also Half-Human) could qualify for the Chameleon class, which specifies "Race: Human or Doppelganger" only. And there would be no reason to have "Race: Elf or Half-Elf" as an entry requirement for the Seeker of the Misty Isle PrC; the "or Half-Elf" wouldn't make any sense to add if having Elven blood qualified for "Race: Elf".

(You can also start as a Half-Drow and go through the referenced "Half-Drow/Drow Transition Class" to the end, but then you're not Half-Drow; officially your race changes to Drow.)
