Hello,

Fellow GitPer and Witch Hunter player Dragor asked me to try my hand at making some sig banners for 40k Witch Hunters players. I've come up with two designs:

One for the Adepta Sororitas (Sisters of Battle):

http://www.angelfire.com/id/deathquaker/gaming/images/Sisters_Banner.gif

And one for the Ordo Hereticus (Inquisition):

http://www.angelfire.com/id/deathquaker/gaming/images/Inquisition_Banner1.gif

The Witch Hunters playing contingent is small, so I realize chances of a response are low, but just in case:

1. Critiques:
Please feel free to offer critiques of the designs or suggestions for variations. I will take them seriously, though please do not feel offended if I do not use every single suggestion.

Disclaimer: Changes may be made immediately, or some time within the next three months.

2. Adoptions
You may feel free to use these banners, with the following provisions:

1. Please host the banner you use on your own website/photosharing server/etc. If I see my bandwidth--that I pay for--being drained because people are hotlinking to these from my Web site, I reserve the right to delete the images without warning.

2. I'd appreciate a credit, however tiny. ("DQ made this banner" in a little font is just fine.)

3. You may request personal variations on the banner for your use, and I will be happy to make those changes. The disclaimer under #1 applies.

Thanks very much.

I love the Witch Hunters probebly my favorite Imperium force... Although I collect Marines... :smallconfused:

Anway, those banners are quite impressive, I quite like them.

Thanks.

You could always ally some of the Inquisition with your Marines.

Oh. . . I'm more of a Daemon Hunters fan then the Witch Hunters. ALthough first and foremost I'm a Black Templar (NOT a Tau)

Other then that, though, great banners.

Ooh... Shiny...

I may well definately be using one of them, particularly if you made an Ordos Sicarus one. My Inquisitor character is a member of them, and a strong Thorian disciple.

Are there any particular symbols associated with Ordo Sicarus? The only Codices I own are Witch Hunters and the Sisters of Battle one from the previous edition so I need to know where to look otherwise.

Hey DQ. I'm sorry I'm a bit late to jump on the thread, my net is being slightly annoying and cutting out, so I didn't notice it until now.

I have nothing to rage about, they are great. You've done the Sisters proud, lass. :smallcool:

The Ordos Sicarius is one of the Ordos Minorus, and is responsible for the Officio Assasinorum. The only source book I've seen them in is The Thorians by Gav Thorpe, which I believe is available for download from the Inquisitor section of the Specialist Games site. The Ordos Sicarius has only half a page, about as much as the Ordos Sepultrum. (Zombie Plague investigations.)

Warhammer: 40K has Zombie Plagues?! Wow. Never knew that before.

Anyways DQ, those banners are quite good.

"SUFFER NOT THE WITCH TO LIVE". Oh Witchhunters. You and your genocides.

Thanks, all, for your kind words!

Eita -- everything should have Zombie Plagues.

Keris Rain, I'll see if I can find what you're talking about. If you can find a link that'll be helpful (GW occasionally "helpfully" reorganizes their Web site, making things an "adventure" to find...)

I love the Sisters of Battle one, the detail on the bolter is fantastic and the colours work together really well

The Inquisition one is also good, but I'm not particularly keen on the shade of grey you've used in the background. It just looks sort of boring and doesn't work well with the other colours. The design of the blood/dirt/=I= symbol is all very good. I suggest trying either a darker shade of grey, a dark red or possibly even a very light grey/white (but I don't know how well that would work).

Out of interest, what software did you use to make them?

They look good. Again, im someone who prefers the sisters of battle one, and feel the inquisitorial one could be better.
Also, is it just me, or does that bolter looks strangly close to this one: http://content.answers.com/main/content/wp/en-commons/thumb/b/b4/180px-Bolter.png

The Inquisitor rules, including the Sourcebook are here. (http://www.specialist-games.com/inquisitor/rulebook.asp)
No specific symbol is decpicted, as they are very unknown.
