Wow.

That is very well done.

Still probably not the best trailer mash-up I've seen, but it's pretty damn good.

For real hilarity, search for "Scary Mary" or that Ten Commandments as a high school-comedy one.

Or, if you're into the animu, Gurren-Lagann+Transformers (which despite being a gag dub, is really, really excellently done, to the point where it's almost a realistic dub of the show.)

This one (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6yTBH8n74T4)? Because that certainly looked great.

The "Ten Commandments" one is "10 Things I Hate About Commandments".

Yeah, that's the one I meant. What still gets me is how close all the dialog is to the original, at least after the first trailer-scene or so.

And stuff I mentioned earlier, in link form:

10 Things I hate about Commandments (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a0vF7kSZ04s) (warning: uncensored Samuel L. Jackson).

If you're a fan of The Office (U.S.), this is probably the greatest thing ever.

Okay, that Hamlet Is Back trailer with Arnold Schwarzenegger is one of the funniest things I have ever seen.

On a completely unrelated (but still on-topic) note, I've found that recently:

Yup, it's FF6+FMA. Nothing really happens for about half of it, but the rest is rather cool. And, more importantly, it really makes me wish there was a FF6-based anime. Pity that 7 hogs all the franchise.

Amen, brother. Moreso considering VIII was a refined and way better 7, and that no one wants to do something on it (Seriously, Squall is always omitted form crossover games) or acknowledge how Lionheart was better than Omnislash. To say nothing of what a piece of art the desperation attacks of 6 were.

Hey, 7 is still the second best game in the series for me. :smallyuk:
It's just that they release too many additional stuff for it and too little for the other games.

You think VIII is underrepresented? At least Squall showed up in Kingdom Hearts, and was fairly important to the plot. Who was VI's rep in that series? Freakin' Setzer, who shows up for all of twenty seconds in a prologue. I demand Celes and/or Terra. Or at least Gau, for statue-thingies' sakes.

Anyway, that fake OP is pretty win. MAD mashups that use original animation always get my respect.

Hmm, I have trouble identifying the third face at the start - is that supposed to be Ultima Weapon? Shadow? It looks like EVA 02's face.

According to the description, this is an incomplete version. I can only assume that in the complete one there will be all the major characters, they will change the "filler" with Impresario/Owzer, and the song will go till the end (because there was around 15 seconds remaining).

And hey, Setzer was cool.

He's cool, sure. Celes and Terra are just a lot closer to being main characters (as close as FFVI gets, anyway). And I want them to be involved in the main plot. I mean, Yuffie is involved in the plot. Seriously!

And while my thoughts did immediately go to Evangelion on seeing that silhouette, I'm pretty sure it's meant to be FFVI's title logo, which I believe was an Amanotized version of a Magitek Armor. So hey, close enough.

I see the point you're making, but... hey, Yuffie was my favorite FF7 character! She and Vincent (who's #2) didn't even appear in the movies in the actual game, the bigger roles they receive in additional material are well-deserved.

This is awesome on wheels. I feel like crying (okay, not really - but it's still kickass).

After a more careful examination I think you might be right. Well, Amano's art is pretty trippy - his style can be described as Manga meets Jules Verne meets Arabian Nights... and they celebrate the encounter with lots of acid.
