if I were to post a few examples of my recently made sprite comic that I wanted to do, would people give me honest feed back? it isn't oots based, but it is kind of like Erfworld in terms of humor (like OtOoPCs or SoD, I guess.)
So, what do you think?

whoops! Mods, please delete 3 of these. :smalleek: :smalleek: :smalleek:

Yes they would.

I very much douped they wouldn't give honest critesism.

You'll get a mix of honest criticism, complements saying things like: "This is the greatest thing I ever read," and complaints saying: "Don't quit your day job. Ever."

The trick is knowing which to follow, and which to ignore. :smallwink:

But sure, post away.

Sure, we'l answer honest:smallbiggrin:

And if I'm correct, there's an edit button at your first post, you should be able to delete the thread that page.
Or just edit your post, so there's no need for double posts:smalltongue:

Are you going to tell me this on every thread? HA! I can't delete them! BURN! So, how do I post them?

Not double thread. Quadruple thread.

look, I already said that I asked the mods to delete the other three. Can peaople answer how you post a picture from paint?

Pandaren
2008-01-22, 10:07 PM
I would move the picture to a internet picture site, like photobucket or imageshack, and then use the link to put it on here.

You can do it yourself, thats what were saying. edit the post, then at the top of the page will be a "Delete message" option
That said, just save the image, then upload it into photobucket/imageshack

Tornek the Unhygenic

And if you don't have imageshack/photobucket? It's not letting me delete them. Why?

No offense, but if you make it in paint, most comments will be something like "the art sucks". I don't suggest paint for anyone. There are very few people who can pull it off well.

:smallconfused: But are you doing a sprite comic?:smalltongue:

I'll agree that paint could do it's job if everything's being copy-pasted into the comic.

Generally speaking, sprite comics really need to kick up their game in the joke section or storyline section to make up for the lack of artistic variety.

Mines really more storyline based, not as many jokes.

If you decide to make it more storyline based, you have no know what makes a story good and interesting to begin with. Seeing from your signature that you plan to make a pokemon based comic, it would pose a problem to you to make your comic original. With sprites, you would probably be reusing characters that we already know (correct me if im wrong). And we will have preconceptions of what the character should be before you even give any introduction.

I myself would not say that Erfworld is the kind of comic i check everyday for updates. But the art style helps it out because it is visually appealing over the stick figures of the Order.

There are a few things that make me like a comic.

Art Appeal
Comedy
Storyline
Consistent Updates.

Try to get the most of everything and you'll end up with a pretty popular comic.

Not bad, but you need to increase the text size a bit. Comic one is hard to read, though it improves with comic two. Also, don't use light text colors like in the last panel of comic one. Otherwise, it's pretty good.

Depends what kind of website you want. There are forums, read onlys, interactive, wikis. I know some basic HTML code and some Wiki code if that helps.

Well, basically, I want what Giant has made, but without the store, gaming, or stories. Anyone know how to do that?

Also: I agree with your signiture.

For something like this, you need to either learn lots of HTML, get one of those "Free" websites, or hire someone to do it for you.
