I've always been interested in boffer LARPs, but have never actually been able to play one, or any LARP for that matter. Not one. Darkon looks freindly enough for a new player but even after reading the rules on their website, I'm only left with more interest but even more confused about how to actually get myself into a game. Should I join an already existing country? Even if I don't know anyone in it? Does being 16 present me with a problem (I know I'm allowed due to age, but does that mean anything?) Should I start my own? I know the general rules on apparel, but what wont get me laughed at? I have no idea what to do, or even what I'm talking about. At least I live in Olney. That helps a bit.
