I made a request for this a while back (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=43303), but my artist got busy with other things, so, here's a new request.

-----

I've had a D&D group together for a bit over a year, and we've played over 40 sessions with the same group of characters (from levels 1 to 24 so far.) I wanted to make some sort of commemorative art for the group before we break up (I'm leaving the state this summer), but I suck at drawing. So, I'm looking for someone else to take a shot at it. My only requirement is that the drawing has all six of the party characters in it (familiars and such are optional.) Any style is OK. Multiples in different styles are OK too. You don't have to give me anything professional quality; a cute OoTS style drawing would be fine (but I'd be happy with a professional quality painting if you want to do it!) Anyone who gives it a try has my utmost thanks, and also, I'll buy you an OotS book or two or something of similar value.

Party name: The Rubble Rousers. Formed in the city of Cauldron (from the Shackled City (http://paizo.com/dungeon/products/books/v5748btpy7dx9) adventure path.) We spend a lot of time digging through and otherwise kicking rubble, hence the party name. Our entire party history is at the party blog (http://rubblerousers.blogspot.com/), if you're looking for inspiration.

Characters:
Grokk, half-orc barbarian male. Tall (about 7'2") and plain, scarred from training. Extremely muscular. Wields the meanest two-handed axe you've ever seen (crit multiplier x5) and wears mithral plate mail. Says "Grokk smash" a lot. Also plays percussion instruments.

Roland, human male wizard/loremaster/archmage. Doesn't like wizard robes and such; prefers plain traveling clothes. Pretty much always has a book in hand, and carries a whole library in his haversack. His left eye has been replaced by a small flame. Has a pseudodragon familiar named Sam, and an awakened shield guardian named Percy who wields a bastard sword.

Rain, elven male rogue. Has an ugly unibrow and wears goggles of minute seeing on his forehead when he's not actively searching for things. (His player occasionally wears a set of exaggerated "nerd glasses" from the costume shop for comic relief.) Wields a rapier and shortsword most of the time, with a longbow in reserve. Wears celestial armor. Usually has a bottle of some sort of alcohol within easy reach.

Horkina, dwarf female fighter/barbarian/exotic weapon master. Wields any two of her three dwarven waraxes (silver, cold iron, and admantine) at once, unless she's using her Maul of the Titans, an 8-foot long hammer that looks like it's straight out of a disney cartoon. Also wears full plate. Really likes ale. Carries the loot bag.

Garlen, halfling male ranger/rogue/barbarian. Tall and skinny for a halfling, with green eyes and brown curly hair. Wears a tailored suit with magical mending and cleaning effects (his celestial armor is hidden under the suit.) Wields a pair of shortswords and carries a longbow. Tries to work the color green into his wardrobe as much as possible. Has a woven wood bracelet. Really hates goblins.

Amber, halfling female cleric of Ehlonna, "servant of good and light". Short, blue eyes, brown hair. Wears simple clothing, usually a basic tunic, with a chain shirt. Wields a light mace and wears a darkwood shield with the "blinding" property. Also wears a bracelet with a continual flame effect, since she hates the dark. Chances are, she has at least 3 magical light sources active at any given time. Has angel wings (Wings of Flying).

If anyone's willing to make an attempt at drawing this, let me know and/or just post your creation here. I hope I gave enough detail to provide some inspiration without being overly restrictive.

47 views and no takers... dang.

Did I mention I'll buy the artist an OotS book or something similar as thanks?

If I remember in the morning, I'll give a shot at it Oots style.

Not that I expect anything from you for it but I'd give it a shot.

I might will make an attempt at this just for a challenge.

Here's a proto-Grokk:

It says "Grokk's Axe of SMASH!" on the shaft, I'll make it more visible later.

Shadow Addict: I told my group about "Grokk's Axe of Smash". They thought it was awesome. His arms seem a little short, but it's a cute cartoony look overall -- very lighthearted, which is appropriate. Very nice expression on his face. Would make a nice avatar if my players posted here.

Yeril: I like the detail work you've done -- the little nick on the axe blade, the subtle curvature of the axe handle, and the pinstripes on the suit make the characters memorable. The only thing I can think of that needs pointed out is that Grokk's axe is made out of a special material called "blackmetal" which is darker than normal.

I'm quite pleased with both efforts.

Im having alittle lack of inspiration, could you go over the characters again in some more details, Im not very creative myself so hints on what to do, such as more detail on hairstyles, poses, clothing and the like would be very helpful.

I hope I can get it done in time, Im abit of a procrastinator so feel free to send me a kick up the bum if I dont post a "update" here every now and again.

Vulion, nice sketch. The scarring is a lot like I imagined, and he's got a great expression, like he could just go off and break you into pieces at any given moment.

OK, here's some extra detail. You don't have to use it exactly as written, but hopefully it'll provide inspiration.

Grokk: pretty good as you've drawn him, aside from the axe color (as described above). The pose and armor are just about right. Should have either an angry or confused expression on his face. I'm thinking slightly crazy hair, maybe somewhat resembling the kid on the left in the image here (http://www.brightonlife.com/news/500-prize-for-a-brighton-themed-cartoon-character-1420.html) or a mix between this guy (http://www.giantitp.com/Images/fanart/Alarra2.jpg) and this guy (http://www.giantitp.com/Images/fanart/PeteyTheFrogBoy2.gif).

Roland: Distracted, reading a book. Thoughtful look on his face, though the flaming eye might make that hard to depict. Hair with a simple part or combover, like Elan or the bandits from this strip (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0152.html). Clothes that would almost fit in with the bandits, as well -- simple and plain, with little decoration, perhaps just a little bit of red.

Rain: slinking around, on the lookout for treasure or whatever. Light brown hair in a standard elven style (maybe like this (http://www.giantitp.com/Images/fanart/Aedan.gif).) Dark, shadowy cloak, dark boots, dark clothing, and really dorky looking glasses, and of course a unibrow.

Horkina: always has both feet on the ground ("one with the earth"), but ready to move. Has incredible balance. I really liked the pose Djinn in Tonic used for her in the previous thread (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=43303). Dark brown hair, maybe with big pigtails or braids like in OotS 84 (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0084.html).

Garlen: so far, so good. Curly brown hair, as described above. He's a bit twitchy, always on his toes and ready to react. If the group is standing together, he's likely to be near the cleric (he has a secret crush on her... like, 45 sessions and 25 levels in, the group hasn't picked up on it.)

Amber: mostly described above. Clothing is generally light blue. She's shy and reserved, the sort who hangs out in the background. Hair in a ponytail like Haley's, maybe just a little bit darker. Probably airborne, with wings like in OotS 284 (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0284.html) but white instead of red.

I'm sorry to say that I'm staying to doubt whether I can follow through here, I seldom get to work on this now and hardly ever make and progress because most of the time what I draw seems off and wrong and I end up where I started.

I will try and continue doing this, hopefuly I will get it done but what Im trying to say is don't get your hopes up because I dont think I'll manage it.

I'm sorry.

Ladies and Gentlemen...

THE DJINN IS BACK!

*****

The Djinn feels terrible about this one...he promised to do it, really liked it, and it was going well, until life got to busy and to hectic and the Djinn had to vanish back into his bottle for a spell. Now, however, an unsuspecting college student on Spring Break has opened that bottle, and the Djinn is free once more!

The Djinn's first act? Logging onto the Arts and Crafts forum. And what did he discover there but something that he should have completed long ago, risen once more.

The Djinn repays his debts, and hopes the result was worth the wait.

P.S.: Also, that is the Djinn in Rain's bottle there...consider it both his alcohol and a signature. Hope that doesn't ruin the image for you.

I'd gladly draw it, though it might take a little time (Process = Drawing, Scanning, Cleaning, Inking, Coloring, Uploading...). Shouldn't take too long, though...hopefully.

You can use it for whatever you want, with the stipulation that, if it appears publicly (i.e. online etc), I am credited with the work. Aside from that, go wild!
