I'm looking for a way for an Artificer to fire as many as wands as possible/round.

Currently, I'm looking at double wand wielder and Girallon's blessing. Since I'm an artificer, CL isn't that big a deal (UMD is easy to get!). Are there any templates out there that add more arms?

Also, would using Psychic Reformation let me retrain my artificer crafting feats for metamagic ones?

Start with an anthropomorphic giant octopus (two of the arms become feet, so six arms, LA +0 with two template HD). Dip Totemist for two levels to pick up the Girallon's Arms soulmeld (bound to your totem chakra). Pick up Aberration Blood, another Aberration feat, and Deepspawn and you gain another two tentacles, so 10 arms total. Girallon's Blessing adds another two. You can probably add more via grafts.

Don't forget the Extra Ring feat.

And Wand Expertise from I think it was Dragon Magazine. It allows you to activate a wand a number of times equal to a full-attack at +1 charge cumulative per activation or somesuch. Add in eternal wands for extra cheese!

Eternal wands don't have charges...they're just magical items that can be used twice a day...

Well poop. I just kinda thought it may have been one of those non-covered loopholes where it activates but the number of charges required didn't make a difference, like assuming the wand had infinite charges or somesuch :smalleek: What if you were to craft a use-activated item resembling a wand that cast your spell on-activation?

It would cost... Spell level × caster level × 2,000 gp ...according the magic item creation guidelines. But it would have to pass DM auditing and still wouldn't give you any charges to play with. (Besides activation probably taking a standard action, possibly without any way to improve on it.)

Don't forget the Insectile template, for two more arms.

Rod of Wands from Complete Mage pg 128. Burn extra charges from similar wands to blast forth multiple affects. Put three Wands of Ray of Stupidity in there, and you have a wizard - killing item.

Now stop and visualize what you are suggesting for the OP to create. I totally think that deserves a Fear aura, or an on-the-spot Sanity Check for all opponents, or something to that effect.

Out of threads such as these, the dark gods were born.

Now stop and visualize what you are suggesting for the OP to create.I'm thinking something like Korax, the final boss from Hexen. Every shot, he'd fire six identical blasts from his six arms, which all converged on you. Each shot, the blasts would be different: He could use almost any projectile used by any other monster (except the exploding ice balls the Wendigos shot, thank heavens).

Ironically, it was easiest to beat him using the wizard's base weapon, since the unlimited range and ammo let you just keep whittling him down and dodging his blasts (he never tried to close range).

Yes, but this build is a mutant insect giant octopus with 14 or so arms.

I'm looking at 14 arms:
2 chakra, 2 spell, 2 template, 8 octopus (flying ftw).
+ belt of battle

CL 20 on 12 wands = 3 beams/wand

split ray = 4 rays, at 4d6 each
energy admixture = 4 rays at 8d6 each
maximize, empower, and enervate= 4 rays at 72 + 1.5*0.5*8d6
Twin spell: 8 rays 72 + 0.75*8d6

8 rays 14 times = 112 rays
belt of battle = 224 rays

Hitting only on 20s, that's still more than 800 damage. 1120 damage average, only landing natural 20s. Since I'll have dex ~30, and persistent Divine Power, I'll hit anything 95% of the time with <30 touch AC. Corrupting it means 1/2 is Untyped damage.

Artificer LA2/HD2/Totemist1/Artificer15

Feats, 19 total (in no real order, using psionic brokeness to swap out item crafting feats):
1. Corrupt Spell
2. Enlarge Spell
3. Extend Spell
4. Empower Spell
5. Split Ray
6. Maximize Spell
7. Energy Substitution
9. Energy Admixture
8. Twin Spell
10. Persistent Spell
11. Enervate Spell
12. Quickdraw
13. Craft Wand
14. Two Weapon Fighting
15. Double Wand Wielder
16. Multiattack
17. ??
18. ??
19. ??

These wands are going to be expensive. Very, very expensive. Crafting them costs 15k apiece. That feat that makes them cheaper drops it to 11.25k. 14 of them costs 157,500 gp. I can use them all of once; maybe twice?

Anyway, it'd be a pretty epic nova.
Are there any feats that would make everything nearby be scared when the ball of tentacles with batwings begins spinning, firing off white hot beams of unholy acid?

Unearthed Arcana Creating Other Bloodlines. You could plug in Fear 1/Day at L16 or comparable to a Major Storn Giant or Titan bloodline with a level 4 spell effect. Most of the standard bloodlines are in the SRD so it is pretty easy to base a new bloodline off an existing bloodline.

Edit: Daunting Presence general feat from Libris Mortis.

CL 20 on 12 wands = 3 beams/wandWhy CL 20? CL 11 would work just as well, for just over half the price.

Oh, they can be pronounced alright - we just don't dare.

They are indeed squamous.
