A friend of mine and I are working on a collaborative OotS-style comic (it's not set in a DnD world) co-starring the dapper fellow in my avatar. We both enjoy using Inkscape, so we are intending to go on a sort of "every other comic" idea where one of us draws the comic in his own style, then the other does it in his. We are going to write it together. My question is, what kind of reaction would we get if the art was (slightly) different every other comic?

It will be posted here.

If each of you maintain you're own style well, then it should be no problem.

Unless of course the same character would look totally different in each style.

Slightly. The only differences will be small things in stuff like clothes (and, of course, we both make our mouths/hair a little bit differently). Things like props are the only things that will not be drawn differently, mainly because he doesn't want to draw a wolf and I don't want to draw a time machine.

Are you telling me that it's a webcomic about time travelling wolves:smallconfused:

Cause that would be AWESOME!

As long as it's well-written and the art isn't REALLY awful, it's alright to have a different style than OoTS.

Not exactly. But there will be time travel, and there will be a wolf based on...

Actually, I'm going to stop now.

I think It would be interesting seeing the differant styles and stuff like that. Put the link to the comic's thread here so we can read it!
(it is always refreshing to read other's comics to see how my comic can improve)

We've still got some work to do on it (getting characters and settings done, plus making about five strips), so expect it within the next month or so.

Here's a little banner I just threw together to show off the characters:

It does not have anything to do with Rocky Horror.

:smallconfused: What?

Well, to begin with, it's stretching the screen, so please spoiler the image.

Next, look around a number of the other webcomics (Or a number of signatures, either way works). You'll see that banners are way smaller than that, even if used as a title picture. Images that large are against the rules for signatures, if I recall correctly.

Oh, yeah. I meant to scale it down, buuuuut I forgot.

And considering it's not for sigs, I'm not concerned about that (i.e., I am too lazy to open up Inkscape right now).

Hooray! Banner is done. Y'know, this whole thing seems like the lead up to a movie. Except, of course, that this is SPARTA!!!!. *cough*
Except, of course, that this is a webcomic about time travellers. And yes, that is the Queen of England. God Save the Queen!

I'm sure I know that guy on the left too, isn't he the Clock King? :smallconfused:

Ooh, forgot to reply to Bedmon. No, he is not the Clock King. He actually doesn't have a name yet. >.<
