I'm working on some materials based on another world from a tv show I'm a big fan of. (Not sure If i'll get in trouble for posting a link.) One culture in this world tends to make weapons out of bone. I was wondering, what would the hardness/HP be for these items. (There's no lsiting for bones on the materials charts!).

Someone suggested a hardness of 6 in a topic about limb chopping, which sounds good (The number, not limb chopping :smalleek: ), but I'm not sure about HP (since the asumed HP in that case was based on target's HP)

Thanks!

Well, bones in good condition should have roughly the same resilience as a really solid wood. I'd go with the HP of wood.

Edit: I realize now that I just drew a corollary between wood and bone. There's way too much available for bad taste jokes here, I just know it.

I have no idea what you're talking about. :smallamused:

I think Arms and Equipment guide has rules for bone items.

EDIT: Yup, found it. Bone has hardness 6. Hit points by weapon type:
Tiny blade (dagger): 1
Small blade (shortsword): 1
Medium blade (longsword): 2
Large blade (greatsword): 3

Thanks! This is just what i needed.

Edit: Oh yeah, is a spear/long spear the same as a large blade weapon?
