So one of my players is switching characters because he is tired of being the party heal box. He decided to make a Duskblade. I am using the spell point system and there are no official rules I can find for Duskblade spell points. Does anyone know where some might be that I didn't find? If not, how does the progression I came up with look to you (see below)? I took the wizard starting spell points and used the increase between each level (for wizard) for two levels (for duskblade). This seems to make sense to me as Duskblades only get 5th level spells and Wizards get 9th.

Would be more accurate. This is converting the duskblade's spells per day over directly instead of using another class.

The problem with just multiplying (spells per day of level X) x (spellpoint cost of level X) and adding, is that actual spellpoints are slightly higher to start, and significantly lower at higher levels. Here's the Wizard for comparison:

Level: Converted Spell Levels: Actual Spellpoints
1 : 1: 2
2 : 2: 4
3 : 5: 7
4 : 9: 11
5 : 14: 16
6 : 22: 24
7 : 30: 33
8 : 42: 44
9 : 54: 56
10: 70: 72
11: 86: 88
12:106:104

That said, I think the OP progression is pretty acceptable, as it puts the duskblade just a hair ahead of the bard. As far as spellpoints go, the duskblade's sheer number of spells per day edges him over the bard's sixth level spells. I'd say you're in the right ballpark at the very least.
